Devyn's pov
*1 week later*
"Hello?" I ask as i answer my phone
"Hey." They say
"Who is this?" I ask
"Look. Im sorry for what i did. Megan made me do it. She said if i didnt she would post my nudes and spread rumors about me. I didnt want to but i didnt want to have those out either. Im so sorry. I didnt mean for it to go this far." They said
"Seth! I dont care what she made you do! If cassie doesnt wake up i am flying to arizona and i am beating your ass!" I say
"Ok. I got to go. Im so sorry." Seth says and hangs up
"Ugh!" I say and sit back in my chair
"Hey. Look. I gotta go get my homework and go home for a bit. But i will be back. I promise." I say and kiss her hand before getting up and walking out the door
I get in my car and drive to the school. My mom doesnt really care that i am missing school to stay with Cassie. She says that a person who is important to you is more important than school.
I drive into the almost empty school parking lot and park. I get out and walk into the school. I go to the office and go up to the front desk.
"How can i help you?" The office lady says
"I need my homework." I say quietly but she heard me
"Last name?" She asks
"Bess." I say and types in her computer
"Devyn?" She asks, and i nod my head
"Ok. Here's this. Just go to your classes and get your assignments from your teachers." She says and hands me a piece of paper
"Thankyou." I say and walk out of the office
I go to my classes and i am on my way to my 6th class. Math. I walk in and Ms. Freeman is at her computer.
"Um.. I need my homework." I say
"Oh. Hey devyn. Why havent you been at school?" The young teacher asks
"Um.. My girlfriends in the hospital." I say quietly and put my head down to look at the ground.
"Im sorry. I hope she gets better. What is she in there for?" She asks
"Uh.. Nothing. It doesnt matter. Can i have my homework?" I ask trying to hide the tears forming in my eyes.
"Yeah. Just a sec." She says and walks to the back to get it as i stand there akwardly
"You havent missed much. Its just review." She says as she hands it to me
"Ok. Thankyou." I say and start walking to the door
"Your welcome. I hope your girlfriend gets better." She says
"Yeah. Me too." I say as my voice cracks and i walk out the door.
I quickly walk out of the school with tears slowly sliding down my cheeks. I get in my car and throw the stack of papers in the passenger seat. I grab the steering wheel and put my head on my hands as the tears fall.
Why couldnt i have got in there sooner. If i did she probably wouldnt be in a coma. She would be right by my side. My babygirl is in a coma because i wasnt fast enough. Ugh! Seth why are you such a jerk!
I pick up my head and start driving back to the hospital.
