A week later.

"We need the money!" I ran my fingers thru my hair impatiently.

I paced back and forth scrolling thru my contacts on my phone. I've been calling everyone I know from across the country to pitch in for my sister's bail. Some gave some didn't.

"chill out yo" Herb said inhaling a blunt. I turned to look at him, "chill? You expect me to chill?!!!" I walked up to him bout ready to strangle his ass for saying that stupid shit.

"Okay you got it. But you been callin mufuckas all week and we still need bout half that shit" He raised his hand and pointed towards nowhere.

I shook my head. The thought of my sister not getting out on bail makes me sick to my stomach.

I was going to open my mouth again when I heard a knock on the door. I furrowed my eyebrows at Herb and walked towards it. I peeped into the peep hole and I couldn't believe my eyes.

"B-Brandon?" I said opening the door. He didn't nod or say a word to me. I scanned his demeanor and he seemed tired. He had dark bags under his eyes and I could see that he let his hair grow out.

He walked in dragging his feet and sat a black duffle bag on the coffee table where Herb had all his herbs, laid all over if you know what I mean.

"Ay bro where you been?" He got up and dabbed him, but Brandon still wasn't talking.

"Get her out" He finally said in a low tone and walked out the house without saying anything else.

Herb looked at me confused and unzipped the bag to find the money we needed to get my sister out.

"H-how? How did he know?" I looked at Herb confused.

He shrugged. "Shit ion kno but we needa get her out for they send her somewhere else" he said.

"Right." I snapped my fingers and grabbed my purse.

30 min later we were signing the papers to get my sister out.

After almost an hour of waiting she finally came out.

"G!" I ran towards her but stopped dead in my tracks. I noticed she had a bruise under her eye and a few scratches.

"Gia please tell me you didn't get into a brawl?" I asked annoyed.

She shrugged, "she asked me what I was in for. I told her. she laughed. I beat her ass." She said not even blinking. I heard Herb cackle.

I sighed and rubbed her back as we walked to the elevator.

I had managed to rent a small apartment so me and Gia could stay at while we fixed the issues that recently had come up.

I got Herb to drop us off before he left for the studio.

"I'm sorry I didn't get you out sooner" I apologized while I poured hot water onto a mug and placed a small bag of green tea.

"It's fine. I've been thru worse." She said with her eyes looking in only one direction. It was almost as she had lost her soul. Like she wasn't here mentally anymore.

I sat the mug in front of her and watched her as she began to slowly blow on the smoke that was coming out.

Then out of nowhere she got up, grabbed her jacket and walked out the door.

"Gia where you goin? You can't go far your under house arrest" I said trying to get her to stop but let's face it my sister's just hard headed and hot headed.

I tried following her but by the time I got to the lobby she was long gone.

I put my hands together and brought them up to my mouth and closed my eyes, "Jesus please take care of her and don't let her do anything stupid" I prayed.
