Chapter 9: Time For Bed

Last Chapter
"I know you said I can't go out side, but please?!?" looking at me with those eyes again. Damn I don't think I'll ever be able to say no to her. "Pleeeaaassseee" she stretches out the word, her puppy eyes going round.
I sigh "you may go for a run, only if I am with you".

Her whole face lights up and she jumps into my lap, throwing her arms around my neck. Now I know that I wont ever be able to say no to her, she's my weakness. "Of course she is, she's our mate" my wolf said, "Shut up" I tell him and turn my focus back on Erin.

Erin's POV
I quickly untangle my arms from his neck and jump out of his lap. I lower my head in hope of hiding the blush forming on my face. I don't know where that come from, me jumping into his lap hugging him, but I can't deny that it felt so good being in this arms.

Clearing my throat, "okay, lets go!" I start heading for the door.
I feel a hand in mine pulling me back towards the owner.
"Hay" I say pulling my hand from Daniel's, "you said we could go for a run-".
"Yes I did, but I meant that we could go for a run tomorrow. You know, when it's not bedtime".
"Bedtime? What am I? 4?"

He pulls me closer and I feel a little dizzy being in his arms.
"That's not what I meant" Daniel said tracing one of his hands up and down one of my arms, making it hard for me to concentrate, "what I meant was, it's been a long day for both of us and I don't know about you but I'm rather tired".
"I guess I'm kinda tired too" I mumble but I know he heard me because of the wolf hearing.

"It'll be a great excuse to cuddle" my wolf purred. She is really starting to annoy me today.
"FYI, I sleep on the right side of the bed" I tell him as I get out of his hold and walk over to my backpack to get my PJ's.
"Sorry love, but that's my side".
"Well you'll just have to get used to the left side" I start heading to the bathroom.
"Unless we can make a compromise" I turn to look at him and see him with a smirk on his face.

I frown my eyebrows in confusion, "what do you mean?"
"We could both share the right side of the bed" he stepped closer to me, smirk still evident on his face.

I glare at him, it's hard enough to resist him as it is, I don't need him to make it any harder by cuddling.
"No thank you, I think I'll try sleeping on the left side" I step in to the bathroom as I hear Daniel let out a small growl in protest, and I close the door.

Changing in to my PJ's and pulling my hair up in to a ponytail, I step out of the bathroom to find the curtains closed and Daniel in the middle of the room in only a pair of boxers.

Not gonna lie, he looks hot. Seriously hot. Like I'm pretty sure that I'm drooling right now. "And you say you don't want him to mate us" my wolf smugly said while also reeling in happiness with the well toned body of our mate. 

I finally look up from Daniel's body to see him smirking at me, with his eyes full of lust.

"Like what you see, love?"
"It's not to bad, but I've seen better", which is a complete lie. Never had time for guys, not even had my first kiss yet. Isn't that sad, 19 and not even been kissed. However it appears Daniel didn't like that answer, cuz he let out a very angry growl and then before I could even blink he is standing in front of me, gripping my waist pulling me close. 

His eyes are flickering from his chocolate brown to his wolfs pitch black. He's trying to keep his wolf in control. Seeing him like this is making both me and my wolf feel slightly aroused.

"I'm being very patient by not marking you just yet. However if you make comments like that, which better not be true, then I am going to lose control of my wolf and he will mark you, and it's hard enough at the moment. So I suggest if you don't want to be marked and mated right now, you care my wolf down." Daniel growled out. His grip tightening on my waist, till it's almost painful.

From the few hours I have known him, he has seemed like he is always in control. But right now, he's losing it. "Help" I beg my wolf. "Why? I want to be marked and mated". She is really annoying be! "Please, I can't be marked and mated right now, I'm not ready". My wolf sighs "Fine let me take control". I hesitate.

Can I trust her? She growls at me "I promise I won't let him mark us, just hurry and let me take control". Sighing, I let her take over and I feel myself lifting my arms up towards his face.

 I put my hands on his face, rubbing his cheeks with my thumbs. I feel myself go up on to my tip toes and rub my nose into his neck. HIs arms are still tight around me.

"Calm down my mate" I hear myself purr, "No male has ever touch me or my human. We are only yours"

This seems to calm him down as his hold loosens slightly. I feel my wolf let me take back control. "Thank you!" I tell her. "Your welcome, but next time I'm letting him mark us" she replies.

Looking up at Daniel I see his chocolate eyes, meaning he is back in complete control. I remove my hands from his cheeks and he growls in protest.

"Don't joke about things like that again" he says.

Under normal circumstances I would tell him not to tell me what to do, but seeing as his wolf is on edge I'll do what my wolf wants me to do and submit. I let put a sigh and nod my head at him. Suddenly a yarn escapes my mouth with out warning and I blush in embarrassment. Daniel chuckles and let's go of my waist. I almost whimper at the loss of contact.

"Time for bed, love" Daniel says as he walks towards the light switch.

I walk over to the bed and climb in it as the lights go off. Snuggling into the covers I feel the bed dip as Daniel gets in. I close my eyes and try to block him out and go to sleep, but it just wont come to me. 

Every few minutes I hear him shuffling closer to me.

"I know what your doing Daniel" I huff at him.
"Please, my wolf and I need you in our arms. I know that's way your still awake."
"Fine, but no funny business mister!"
"No promises".
"Daniel!"
"I was joking. I wouldn't do anything like that to you".

He closes the little gap between us by reaching an arm around my waist and pulling me to him. My back against his chest. His arm wrapped tightly around my waist and his chin on top of my head. Annoyingly I started falling asleep in his arms.

"Better?" Daniel whispered in my ear.

I hum in response. I just felt so content in his arms and so does my wolf.

"Goodnight my beautiful mate" I hear him say before I drift into a peaceful slumber.
