"Hey, John!" Luke greeted, his phone on speaker so the other boys could join in on the discussion.
"Hey, Luke! Sorry I couldn't be at the meeting yesterday, but I trust that Michelle gave you all the information you needed?" John responded, his voice somewhat staticky.
"It's cool, but, yeah, she gave us everything we needed, but we have some things to talk about with you that we probably should have talked about sooner."
"Like what? We already agreed to venues, the set-lists, recording times, and we're even getting close to finishing the plans for lighting and pyros."
"It's about our supporting band. Well, just the girl group. We picked them in a blind listening session, but those were all studio versions. What if they're, you know, not so good live? I talked to the others, and we all kinda agreed that maybe we should meet up with the girls and listen to them perform ourselves before things get out of hand."
There was only radio silence for a few moments until the sound of John sighing heavily cut through the unsettling quiet, "I guess we can have something set up for you to listen to them. I mean, the plan was to sign them to the record label, as well, so if you only want the best, then that's totally understandable."
"But where should we meet up with them?"
"I'll contact them, and then we can discuss it further then, but, for now, I suggest that you get some rest. I know how you boys usually handle the flight back home."
"Will do, John!" Michael called, ready to follow the man's advice.
"Alright, I'll let you all know when the decision has been made—"
"Can we actually cancel our flight back home? Maybe we can just bang this whole performance situation out now. We should reschedule to fly to them," Ashton suggested, as if a lightbulb had appeared above his honey blond tresses.
"What makes you say this, Ashton?"
"Well, I bet they're all probably really nervous about all of this, and if we listened to them on their home turf, or whatever, then maybe they'll just be a little less nervous and a little more confident."
"You have a point. I'm going to send them an email about this plan, and I'll contact you from there. I'll cancel the tickets back and send you flight times to see the girls. I know you all probably want nothing more than to just go home, but you'll have plenty of time at home after this, I promise."
"Thanks, John. It means a lot," Luke answered, his finger hovering over the 'end call' button.
"I'll talk to you boys soon."
"See ya, John!" they all yelled before Luke ended the call, and it seemed like an invisible weight had been lifted from their shoulders.
"We should all call home and tell our families we won't be home for a little longer," Calum held up his phone and shook it about as he spoke.
"We probably should, and I don't know about you, but I'm gonna take a nap after," Luke piped up with a nod, rising from his spot on the bed.
"Actually same," Michael responded, placing the bowl of chips on the nightstand by his bed.
"Bye, Michael," the other boys mumbled drowsily as they strode out of the guitarist's hotel room and parted to their own.
"We'll meet you for dinner!" Calum added quickly before shutting the door behind him.

Shutting her bedroom door behind her, Hanna flopped into bed after completing her school work, and it was finally time for the band's Oovoo session. However, given the time differences, it was quite late in England and Emily couldn't stay up to participate. She had offered to, but the other three assured her that they wouldn't do much without her and that sleep was more important.
