Third person POV

The avengers were completely shattered and no one was there to pick up the pieces, Natasha wanted to get out and do missions but was denied because of her mental state, so she took off and the others would try to occupy themselves but nothing lasted long.

Tony would create all these new weapons and gadgets but were never used but still he continued his work. Bruce would try to relax and stay calm, but the hulk tried to escape it's cages but Bruce was dealing with it more like struggling.

Steve would be in the gym or running or working with his new team in upstate New York by himself while Natasha was on leave god knows where. Thor went back to Asgard to grieve and that is how they copped, Fury could see the dramatic toll it took on them and he had to think of something before everything went into meltdown.

It was the day of Clint's funeral everyone gathered in a small cathedral, the Avengers new and old excluding Natasha who couldn't be reached, sat at the front and Laura and the kids sat on the other side. Agents and other people sat down around them.

Laura struggled to not cry while hugging her kids tightly. None of them knew Natasha was there, she sat at the back out of sight and watched her fellow teammates and Laura mourn over Clint. The service soon ended and it was time to bury him.

Steve, Tony, Bruce and Thor picked up the casket and walked out of the cathedral, they passed Natasha who concealed her face from, they placed the casket in the car and silently everyone joined walking behind the car as it slowly drove to the cemetery.
Once it reached there the Avengers picked it up and walked it over to where Clint would be layed to rest, Natasha stood behind a tree. The avengers stood around the hole with Laura holding the kids closely to her.

Once the funeral ended the Avengers went up to the Laura giving her their sympathies.

Natasha waited until they were out of sight before walking over to the grave. The tombstone had his name engraved on it, she knelt down and her eyes became teary. "I swear to you, I will find who ever did this and they shall pay. I promise you, I still owe you a debt and I shall repay you by doing whatever means necessary to avenge you" she said with anger, she stood up and stared at the tomb stone. She turned around to start to walk when she saw someone familiar.

"Natasha" he said almost sympathetically, "Nick" I said. "We need you to come back in" he said to her. "Get someone else, because I'm out" I said as I walked past him, "Do you think Clint would want you to go rogue on us?"

He said with no sympathy, Natasha was infuriated how dare he use her dead best friend against her, she marched up to him and looked him in the one eye, "don't you dare even go there Fury, I don't need this shit from you Fury, got it and I quit shield, the Avengers. I quit" she said right in his face and angrily with still a couple of tears running down her face.

Fury looked at her sympathetically and worried for what had happened to the cold hearted assassin who did not have emotions and feelings. "Natasha we just want you to come in for a day please" he asked calmly.

"Maybe" and with that Natasha walked away from Fury towards her run down excuse for accommodation, a small apartment that was as old as Abraham Lincoln himself. She sat down in the hard couch. She needed her things from the Avengers tower so she decided to text Fury that she was coming in tomorrow.

She decided to sleep which was no use, nightmares flooded her dreams as usual, she barely slept and with a terrible excuse for a bed, she layed in bed and when she could see the light, she got up and made her way to the Avengers Tower.

As she walked in, everyone sitting around a table looking miserable, excluding Thor who went back to Asgard after the funeral. They straightened up and looked at Natasha in surprise, she sat down away from anyone before any questions could be asked. Fury walked in, he nodded at Natasha while she just rolled her eyes.
