3rd Person POV

Natasha and Steve drove away from the building, "so where are we going?" Asked Steve, Natasha wasn't sure she thought if she could drive away from everything then it will be alright but nothing would change and she would have to realize sooner than later. "Dunno, where do you want to go?" She replied.

Steve always wondered what Brooklyn looked like now, he never had the time to check out his home town. "I guess maybe Brooklyn" Steve offered. Natasha nodded and put her foot down on the accelerator and they were off to Brooklyn, it was about twenty minutes from where they were.

They arrived in Brooklyn and Steve was in awe of how much Brooklyn had changed, tall buildings everywhere and there were lots of people continuing their daily business as cars and buses were zooming around.

"Change much?" Natasha asked jokingly while Steve looked out of the window open mouthed and yet he was sad that his home town had changed so much and he didn't get to see it, he didn't get to live a life of freedom in Brooklyn with Bucky. "So what do you want to do?" Natasha asked, Steve didn't know but he thought it would be a good idea to visit his parents.

"Can we go to the cemetery?" He asks Natasha, she understood that he wanted to go, Natasha used her GPS to guide them to the cemetery which Steve remember the name of it.

Once they arrived both of them got out, "do you want me to stay here?" She asked. "No it's okay, you can come" he replied with a smile. Natasha followed Steve even though he was clueless on where to find his parents grave, they finally located the graves which were next to each other.

Natasha stayed a little back while Steve crouched in front of his mother's headstone, a tear escaped his eyes. He stood up in front of the graves. He walked away and Natasha followed not knowing how to comfort her friend. They walked to the car silently and got in.

"You okay?" Natasha asked sympathetically as she turned the ignition on, "yeah" Steve responded. Natasha's phone rang and she hastily go it out of her pocket and answered it, the contact name was Stark. "Hello Natasha, heard you took a little joyride with Steve" Tony said.

"What's it to you Stark?" She asked

"Well, I have got fury on my ass asking where the hell you guys are, so I need you two to get back to HQ now before Fury sends a whole legion of Shield agents to collect you guys" he stated with clear annoyance in his voice.

Natasha contemplated, she didn't want to go back yet, she wanted to do things that normal people would do but mind you she wasn't normal and she honestly felt she had no place in society or the world. "Fine, we will be there soon" Natasha said. She hung up and Steve looked at her in confusion.

"It was Stark, he wants us back at Avengers tower because Fury keeps bugging him about us and where we are and I said we would be back soon" Natasha said, and Steve understood. They drove for about an hour in silence, neither knew what to say until Steve piped up."So I have question, why did we go on a road trip? and I thought you had a couple of jobs to do?" Steve asked.

"Well, I guess I decided that I rather spend a day doing a road trip than doing jobs." Natasha responded, Steve was still curious about the so called missions and wondered who gave her the missions, he was going to ask.

But he didn't want to ruin the day with questions and she would most likely ignore them or be sarcastic. They drove into the Avengers Tower garage and parked the car, they both got out of the car and made their way to the lift.

"Finally, you guys took forever" said Tony as Natasha and Steve walked out of the lift into the living area where Tony, Bruce, Director Fury and Dr. Hyde were sitting around the table, they were in trouble. Steve looked worried that he might get in a lot of trouble unlike Natasha who was calm and carefree.

"Would you two like to explain where the hell you guys have been?" Asked a furious Fury (hehe, could resist.) Steve stuttered a bit trying to find the right answer but Natasha was on it. "Steve and I took a day to visit Brooklyn", Fury leaned back in his chair, "is that so, and you didn't tell anybody that you were leaving. And I don't like getting a call from Dr. Hyde about my top agent being rude, and as for you Captain I thought out of the whole team you would be the one not to break the rules, and then I hear that you are alongside Romanoff breaking the rules. From now on Romanoff you listen to me, if you keep breaking the rules you can wave goodbye to the Avengers and America and hello to Russia and their government who I distinctively remember has a price on your head. Sit down the both of you." Fury was angry and annoyed that his two highest former agents would do that.

Fury wasn't exactly angry at them for leaving he was just concerned that they would go and do something stupid. Natasha and Steve silently took their seats while Bruce was a little scared of Fury and Tony was chuckling to himself, Fury stared at Tony and he soon composed himself.
