Carl's p.o.v

I woke up on my bedroom floor in a pool of sweat. I wiped the sleep out of my eyes. I can't believe I actually broke up with her. I knew I wasn't ready, but I went for it. But honestly I think I've made a mistake. Melody is the girl of my dreams. How could I be so stupid? I sat up and rubbed my temple, looking around.
I got to my feet. My head was pounding as I walked down the stairs. "Are you serious?" I heard Fiona shout. "Fuck! Keep it down I have a damn headache!" I screamed back. I reached the kitchen and saw my family sitting at the table. "Hey, guys.." I said weirdly. "Carl, have you seen Mel?" Debbie said sternly. I shook my head. "No, why?" "Carl, what if something happened to her?" She screamed back. I took a deep breath. "She's a smart girl, she knows what she's doing." As I spoke the door busted open. Caden emerged from the living room. "Where the fuck did Mel go?" He yelled at me. "Uh, I don't know!" I shot back. "Well, you broke up with her and she's heartbroken. She won't answer her phone. The only thing she said is that she's leaving. She's not even at her house." He said. My mouth dropped. "See what you did, Carl? This never would of happened if you didn't break up with her!" Debbie shouted. Fiona grabbed her shoulder. "Debs, it's okay." "No it's fucking not!" She started up again. "If you knew you weren't ready for a relationship then why would you fucking start one with her and mess with her feelings?" She asked me, getting close to me. "I-I don-" "You don't care, I know." She turned her back to me. She looked at me over her shoulder and laughed a bit. "What the fuck are you laughing at?" I said with rage. "The kids at school are right. You are the biggest piece of shit I've ever met. And sadly you're my deadbeat brother." I was trying to hold my tears back. "Debbie, you don't mean that." Lip assured her. "The fuck if I don't." She snapped. I had enough, I turned my back to her and walked to the staircase. "I never want to see you again!" She screamed. I stormed up the stairs and reached my room. I sighed and latex on my back. "I just wonder where she is."

Melody's p.o.v

"Don't wanna be an American idiot!" I screamed the lyrics to my favorite song. Vince laughed. "You've always been a dork, haven't you?" He said, glancing over at me. I nodded. "Little bit." I smiled back. He pulled something out of the back. "I needed this." He said, opening a beer. "Uh, you're driving." He nodded, swigging it. "I know. That's why I need it." I gulped. I never knew he did this stuff. I watched him closely as he chugged the drink, crushed the can and threw it out the window. He then grabbed a bottle of vodka. I closed my eyes and turned my head to look out the window. I think I'm starting to regret this decision. I thought about Carl and Debbie and...Caden! Oh shit, he's probably so worried about me. I opened my eyes and checked my phone. 4 missed calls from Debbie, 9 from Caden, 1 text from Carl saying "I still love you.". I sighed and knew I had made a mistake. I wanted to go home. I was cut out of my thought when Vince burped. "We're about to be in Missouri, babe." He spoke softly, grabbing my hand. I gagged a little, but he didn't notice. I closed my eyes and felt myself drifting off to sleep.

I woke up to Vince pulling over and putting the car in park. I opened my eyes and looked over at Vince, half empty bottle in hand. I looked around to see beer cans on the floor, and he was almost done with the vodka. He was shitfaced. "How long was I out?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. He shrugged and took a drink. He unbuckled his seatbelt and crawled over to my side, setting my seat back. "Vince?" I said, now worried. "You're so beautiful." He spoke.  I smelt the liquor on his breath. I began to tremble. I got out from under him and opened the door. "Where are you going?" He asked. "I'll be right back." I said. "Hurry,I'm horny." He said before I closed the door. I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed Caden's number. Still trembling, I hit the call button. The phone rung a few times, I grew more terrified with every ring. "Mel?" "Caden! Thank God you picked up!" I spoke quickly. "Where are you?" He said. "Uhh," I looked around for a road sign when I spotted one. "I'm in Missouri. Uh, route 62." I took an unsteady breath. "Is everything okay?" "No." "Mel, what's wrong?" I looked back into the car and saw Vince sitting in my seat, biting his lip while he looked at me. "Vince is wasted, and driving, and I think he's gonna try to..you know." I said, about to cry. "Oh my god. I'll be there as soon as I can! Don't move!" he hung up. I looked up to the sky and hoped that he would get here soon to save me.

Carl's p.o.v

I was sat in my room, crying and thinking of her.  I couldn't stop no matter how much I tried. I love her, and I always will. What Debbie said really hit me. My heart sank. I couldn't take it. Debbie came through the door. "Carl. Caden and I need you." I laughed and looked at her. "I thought you never wanted to talk to me again?" I said in a snarky tone. She grabbed my shoulders. "It's Mel, we know where she is, are you going or what?" She said, letting go of me and running down the stairs. MY ears perked up when she said her name. I followed Caden and Debbie down the stairs. "What's wrong? Is she okay?" I asked. "She's with Vince. H-He's shitfaced. I think he's gonna rape her." Debbie said, holding back tears. I could feel my heart breaking. "Let's go. Right now." I said, pulling Debbie by the hand to Caden's car.
