"You can't run away," everyone starts yelling at me "you coward."

"No," I scream and sit up.

Again. That stupid nightmare.

I look around and realize I'm laying down in my bed.

What happened?

Shit. Last thing I remeber was being sick and then... oh no.

I kissed him. He kissed me. We kissed.

No, no, no, no. This can't be happening.

I look over at my clock.

It's two in the aftertoon! How long was I asleep?

I HAVE WORK!

This day just keeps getting better and better and better.

I stand up and realize I'm already dressed for work.

Oh, yeah.

Quickly fixing my messy bun I walk out of the room only to find a guy other than Elliot sleeping on my couch.

"Hey," I poke him "wake up."

"Lydia," he yawns "what are you doing out of bed?"

It's Noah.

Is he okay?

He has big dark bags under his blue bright eyes and he has a weak small smile.

"I have work," I answer "what are you doing here?"

"No work for you today I called you in sick," he sits up running his hands through his hair "and Jason called me. Told me you were sick and I came."

"Where's Elliot?" I ask.

What am I going to do when I see him?

Should we talk about it or do I just pretend like it never happened?

"He went to go buy something to eat," Noah says before gesturing for me to sit next to him and I do. "Elliot doesn't seem to like me very much although he's been acting strange around you."

Is it because of the kiss?

"Strange?" I ask casually "how?"

"He just seems very overprotective," Noah looks at me and I keep my face impassive "I mean he wouldn't let me take you to the emergency room."

He kept the promise.

Why, oh why, do you have to do such nice things Stone?

Why don't you just make me hate you?

That would be easier.

"That is wierd," I shrug "maybe he didn't think I was that sick."

"You had a really high fever Lydia," he emphasizes "anyone in their right mind would have taken you to the emergency room."

Did I?

I feel fine now.

"Hey," the door is thrown open and Elliot walks in with grocery bags.

Elliot Stone went to the grocery store.
