"No! I am not dumpster diving! Ever!" I yelled.
"Fine then, me and H will. Geez." Lucas laughed.
"Nope. Only you, Lucas. This is a new shirt, and it matches my eyes." Hathaway stated.
"Okay, fine then!" Lucas rolled his eyes. "Girls."
"What?!" I did not like Lucas at all.
We walked to the dumpster, which was two blocks away.
Lucas took one look at the mountains piled high with trash, and started running. Luckily me and H caught him before he escaped.
"Dig. Now!" I commanded.
Lucas reluctantly started picking at the bits of trash.
"Faster!" I shoved his head into the mound of garbage.
"Woah! Geez!"
A few hours later, Lucas was digging in his 167th pile of trash when he yelled.
"Come here! I found it!"
H and I ran over, and Lucas held up a rock.
"Wait. We were searching for a rock the whole time?" I was getting angry.
"I. Not we, I. I am the one searching while you and H played silly games. And this isn't a rock, it's a diamond. If you polish it, you'll understand."
"Fine then. I believe you."
Once we walked out of the dumpster, a salesman pulled me aside. He could see me?! He was human! Guess what he wanted to sell.
A diamond.
