"Okay. What are you doing here?" I asked, eyeing them suspiciously.
"I...um..." H mumbled.
"She dragged me here! She said that if you and Maddie over here ran into trouble we could help, so we could tag along behind you!" Lucas blurted.
"What? Uh.. yeah. That's a way to say it." H said.
"Okay. H, you can stay, I know you're nice, but Lucas... you're not coming." I said, making a decision.
"What?! Okay, I have better things to do." he said, trying to look nonchalant.
This was going to be a breeze without Lucas! I had just met him, but immediately I didn't like him. He was too much to handle on a mission. I sighed inwardly. Ugh, I still have so much ahead of me!
"Bye, Lucas!" I said, happy to ditch him. "Let's go!"
We ran away, laughing as we floated through people.
"Hey, let's play a game. Two people play at a time, and one person is the judge." explained Maddie.
"Oh yeah! And the two people choose a human to have a little skit." H added.
"And, then the judge chooses who wins!" I finished.
It was a blast playing that game! Blast? Why did I just use the word blast? That is so weird. It's just like saying 'Man, that's sick!' So weird. Anyway, it was fun. Once, H even pretended to slap someone! It was so funny!
"Phew! Boy, am I tired! Let's go to a shack!" cried H.
"What shack?" Maddie and I said at the same time.
H smacked her head. "A shack, silly, is a place for ghosts to sleep in!"
"Really?" Maddie and I said at the same time again.
"Yes! Now stop saying stuff at the same time!"
"Okay," we both said.
Maddie and I looked at each other, and burst out laughing.
"We're here! At the shack!" H called.
We headed upstairs, and went into our room.
As we went up, Maddie and I said, "Whoa! Cool!"
We went in. Me and Maddie were laughing so hard, we fell on the floor, giggling.
I couldn't breathe when I saw H's face looking down at us. It was just too funny.
Then Maddie turned pale white. Then I heard. A sharp knock on the door.
