Wait what?! A human can see me? What is happening? I whirl around, eyeing Lucas suspiciously. He seems just as surprised as me!
Just as I was going to say I was interested, Lucas yelled, "No! We're not looking for diamonds! Bye!"
"What? But... I.." H and Lucas pulled me aside.
"We have something to tell you," started H nervously.
"I'm a shape-shifter ghost! I can make others see me!" Lucas blurted.
"I thought we were going to tell her slowly." H glared.
"No time. No time. We need to look for the salesman before he's gone!" I yelled.
We raced through the crowd, in search for him.
"Well, young lady, I knew you would come back. This diamond is too hard to resist, huh?" the salesman's voice behind me startled me.
"Oh! Umm... ya, how much?" I asked.
"2, please."
"Okay!" piped Lucas behind me.
He handed out two coins to the salesman.
"Thank you!" said the salesman.
We floated over to a corner.
"Are those coins even real?" I asked.
"Duh! Just because I'm dead doesn't mean I'm poor!" retorted Lucas.
"Okay then. I'm going to forgive you for tricking me only because you paid for the diamond. Nothing else." I spat. "But you can't accompany me on my journey anymore. I don't think I can trust you."
"Okay then. Geez!" said Lucas.
"What?! Fine. Okay." said H.
I was going to miss H, but if she and Lucas were a package deal, I would not go for it.
I walked along the streets, thinking about a break. I started down on the sidewalk, which was dotted with glitter. Suddenly, I felt a ghost body smack into mine.
"Sorry!" cried a ghost. "Oh no! They're chasing me again!"
She took off, dragging me with her.
