"That was deep"

Luke walked out of the bathroom, and ran into Emily and Ashton.

"You'll be good out here right? Me and Emily are just gonna go...talk in her room." Ashton smirked

Luke rolled his eyes "Yeah, whatever."
Then walked into the living room crowed with drunk people.

A skinny tan kid bumped into him pretty hard, and quickly gasped "I am so sorry dude!"

Luke caught his balance and laughed "Its all good"

The kid was obviously drunk because he was still stumbling, he put his hand out "I never seen you around before, my names Calum."

Luke smiled politely "Luke. Yeah, I don't really come to parties."

Calum ran over to the table and grabbed a beer and passed it to Luke "Here, this is my apology for almost knocking you over."

Luke chuckled "T-thanks, but you don't have t-"

Calum interrupted "Also! You seem like a cool guy, you didn't get mad at me for running into you or anything. My best friend is the WORST when it comes to that."

Uh oh.. Luke thought to himself.. This guys best friends with that Michael kid I bet.

But he just smiled "Nah, it wasn't your fault."

Luke stood there talking to Calum for a while, just random drunk conversations. He learned a few things about him, like how Calum dropped out of school in year 9 because he got into a 'bad crowd'.. Luke guessed it was because he met Michael, he seemed to be the leader of a bad crowd.

Calum was a really chill guy, and quite funny. Although he might've thought he was a little funnier than he actually was. Also, very very inappropriate, but Luke didn't mind.

Luke didn't see Michael again that night, he ended up exchanging numbers with Calum and made plans to hangout again some day.

"Waaaaater" Luke groaned loudly in his bed.

Liz walked in holding a large glass of ice water with a smirk on her face "Did you have a little too much fun Lukey?"

Luke looked like he was gonna throw up, he nodded reaching for the cup eagerly.

"Did you.. meet anyone cool?" Liz asked sitting at the edge of his bed.

"Uhh..." He needed a few minutes to remember the whole night. "Yeah, actually. I met this guy Cal-Cam-... Calum! He was cool."

She fiddled with her fingers then looked a little nervous to ask but asked anyways "what about any ..girls?"

Luke rolled his eyes and flopped his head down on his pillow "Mum, you know I'm not looking for anyone yet.. I'm still not ready."

She nodded her head "yeah okay, sorry, it's just, I hate seeing you so upset all the time."

He just closed his eyes and ignored her. She stood up and put her hand on his leg "You'll meet someone soon, it's usually when you're not looking anyways babe." Then walked out.

Luke scoffed "yeah"

Luke was just finishing his last year of high school, Ashton was already out, which sucked because Luke didn't have much friends at school.

He walked into his first lesson, which was English. He kept his head down and walked to his desk, but a loud girly laugh caught his attention and he looked up. Only to see Ashley clinging on to the guy she was cheating on him with. He felt sick to his stomach seeing them together and tried his best to not stare at them throughout class.
