It's been a week since Luke's parents found out he was dating Michael, and oddly he hasn't seen Michael since. Like Luke texted him, but he always had excuses to why he couldn't hangout.
It was Luke's last day of school, ever, he was graduating and super excited.
He stood up on the stage with his classmates and saw his family sitting in the audience, next to them sat Calum. No Ashton, no Michael. Which obviously made him feel upset but he toughed it out.
After the classmates threw their caps, they got off the stage and Luke ran to his mum, quickly hugging her and then the rest of his family. He ended at Calum and smiled wide
"thanks for coming, I've missed you!"
They hugged each other tightly then walked over to the drinks, Calum leaned against the table and scratched the back of his head
"So.. Where's Michael?"
Luke shrugged "I don't know, he's been avoiding me all week"
After they got their drinks they sat down in the grass, Calum couldn't hold in the question he's been wondering for weeks
"Did you guys get back together?"
Luke took a sip of his strawberry punch then spoke "I forgave him for what happened.. I was going to tell you but I knew you wouldn't be happy"
Calum laughed with furrowed eyebrows "Luke, if you're happy, I'm happy. If you want to date Michael then that's fine. Doesn't effect our friendship, I hope"
"No you're right, sorry." Luke just had to come out and say it
"But I honestly don't know about him anymore"Calum pulled his cup away from his mouth, shocked he replied "what do you mean?"
Before Luke could continue, Liz walked up to them "We're thinking of going home now, Calum did you want to stay for dinner?"
Calum looked at Luke making sure it was okay and Luke nodded with a smile.
"Sure, that'd be awesome Mrs. Hemmings"
Liz chuckled "Oh please, call me Liz"
Calum nodded his head "oh okay Liz, I would love to join you guys for dinner"
Luke rolled his eyes "You guys are lame" then got up and walked towards the van.

After dinner Luke and Calum went up to his room and sat on the bed, they felt comfortable together.. No awkward silences or nervousness until..
"So.. What did you mean by, you don't know about Michael anymore?"
Calum asked, then swallowed the lump in his throat."Like, he's just confusing me. One day he's open to me about everything, explaining how much he cares about me then the next he's ignoring and avoiding me.. Making me feel like he doesn't care at all, you know what I mean?"
Calum stared into Luke's baby blue eyes and swallowed again "uh.. well, you deserve someone who shows they care about you 24/7. Someone who never once makes you feel like you're not wanted"
Luke looked away from the brown eyes that were staring too fondly at him, making him nervous. "Thanks Cal.. You're a good friend"
