The Night Text

Natsu had just gotten home from work.

Exhausted and tired, he made his way to his kitchen. Opening his white frogs and pulling out a bottle of water, he popped the cap and gulped down every drop.

He had worked to hard on his job, being a model and Head of the Dragneel Inc. He had meetings, photo shoots, papers to do, he didn't even have time for a break. unless it was to text his Girlfriend Lucy.

They have been dating for a year now and yet he still didn't have time to see her. Sure she worked at the same place with him, but she was only his assistant.

And she knows he needs time alone, but she would send him a message everyday. Lucy loved Natsu, and he loved her as well.

"Lucy must be as exhausted as I am.." he said to himself. Around the corner, his little blue cat Happy came running around and rubbed against his leg. Natsu bent down and picked the little blue fuzz ball up, petting his head.

"Hey buddy... lets get in bed. I have a meeting tomorrow in Japan and Lucy will be mad if I'm not there in time".

Later that night, Natsu was trying to sleep only his phone had vibrated on his nightstand which made him wake up from " La La Land".

He looked at his phone to see a message from none other than his girlfriend.

"Great... what does she want now at this time"

(~Lucy's POV~)

I've been having these nightmares lately. But the one I just had was far worse. I looked at the clock to see 3:27 am.

"It's that late?"

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to see him. To be in his warm arms. Picking up my phone, I went through my contacts and looked till my eyes landed on Natsu.

Pressing it, I started the message.

Hey are you up?

I waited for a while.
Maybe he's asleep. I mean, we do have that meeting...

Soon enough, I got his reply.

I am now.

I had a bad dream. could you come over?

After a few minutes, he didn't respond back.

Natsu?

I wondered why he didn't say anything. Then it hit me. I knew he was tired so he must've went back to sleep.

Did you go back to sleep?

(~Normal POV~)

She gave up and sighed. He was asleep. There's no way he would come here at this time. Lucy knew she just had to give Natsu his rest for the big day tomorrow.

Right as she was about to put her phone down, she felt the vibrant in her hand.

Lucy I'm at your door. Let me in.

"H-he.... he responded "

Getting out of bed and walking in the dark, she turned her front door light on and opened it, revealing her Pinketted Boyfriend standing there with his Pjs on, a jacket, his phone, and of course Happy.

After letting him in and taking his jacket off, Natsu didn't hesitate and picked Lucy up bridle stile.

Placing her in bed, he crawled in and hugged her close.

"It's ok Luce... there just dreams"

"But.... sometimes they feel so real"

He smiled. Moving his hand under her chin, lifting it so her warm brown eyes were looking at his, he lightly kissed her forehead and carcasses her cheek.

"Don't worry, I'll keep the bad dreams away"

With that she smiled and nuzzled in his chest, falling asleep. Before shutting his eyes, he kisses her forehead one last time and moved her closer to his chest.

"I love you Lucy"
