Zeref is gone.........but so was he.
In order to fully defeat the demon, Natsu had to sacrifice himself with his power to protect them.

Lucy kneeled on the ground. In her hands was the only thing left of her precious dragon.
She wrapped the scarf around her neck, holding it for dear life. Tears rolled down her cheek. her friends, her guild mates,
They stood by her as it started to rain. Puddles of water were forming everywhere. Erza walked up to her celestial friend, placing a hand on her shoulder. Lucy's head was looking at the puddle in front of her.
As lighting flashed, she could see his reflection in the water. Clenching her fists, more tears streaming down her face, she screamed at the sky.
"NATSU"!!!!!!!!
Erza holds onto her friend as she cried.
Every other guild mate followed Erza.
He was truly gone......
And he would never come back.

2 months later

There, she stood. In front of the grave of her love, holding her stomach, which had grown big. Rain fell from the skies, she holds onto her umbrella as she looked at the stone words.

Lucy stood their, along with Happy by her side. ever since that day, she visited the stone every time. Things at the guild were different. The guild master was now a spirit like Mavis. Jellal was now welcome to the guild. Laxus gave the guild to Erza. Gajeel spent most his time with Levy. Gray was no longer cursed into the darkness and formed a team with Juvia. And Wendy formed a small team with Romeo and Carla and Happy.
Happy allowed Lucy to live in Natsus house, since she couldn't go on jobs.
He help her prepare for when Lucy went into labor. They bought a red cradle, a changing table, bottles, a few toys, and clothes. Juvia had made a small bunny and dragon doll for her.
That night, Lucy started dreaming about her memories with Natsu. She remembered the time she told him she was pregnant.
~they sat on a hill, her back was leaning into his chest, his hands were on her flat stomach.
"Natsu"
"Yeah Luce"
"What do you think are baby will be"?
"I don't know, but it won't matter. Just as long as it's healthy"
She smiled as her hand intertwined with his.
"What would we name it"?
"How 'bout this. You pick a name for a boy, and I'll pick one for a girl"
She looked up at his face anD smiled.
" I like Ryu for a boy"
He squeezed her hand and kissed her forehead. "I like that too".
"And for a girl"? She asked.
"How bout......... Nashi"
She smiled at him. "I love it"
"Then it's settled. For a boy, Ryu, and for a girl, Nashi"~

1 month later
Lucy had gone into labor and the guild waited for the news.
"Congratulations,its a healthy baby girl" said Poliycous( seriously, Idk how to spell her name). She handed Lucy her baby. She had a small tuff of pink hair and lightly tan skin. Lucy brushed the little girls cheeks with her two fingers. Her eyes slowly opened for a second. They were chocolate brown like Lucy's. She closed them again.
Lucy leaned in and kissed her baby girls forehead.

Soon the master walked into Lucy's room. "Lucy, my child. How are you feeling"?
"I'm ok Master"
"She looks just like you, my child"
"No, she looks more like-" she stopped when Natsu appeared in her head. Her smile turned into a frown. She knew he would never get to see his precious baby girl. "Lucy"?. "I'm ok"
There was a little silence, then the old Master spoke.
"What did you decide to name her"
"Actually, Natsu and I decided something a long time ago"
"Really? What my child"?
"We decided to-"
"We picked Nashi"
A voice was heard outside the infermery. Lucy was confused at first. The master smiled as he stepped to the side. Then
A figure walked into the room. Her eyes wided with tears starting to form.
There stood a man, with pink hair, onyx eyes. a small scar on his neck, and a toothy grin.
"N-Natsu", Lucy covered her mouth with her free hand as tears fell from her face. "I'll leave you to alone", said the Master, as he walked out the door.

There was a long silence. He started walking towards her, placing a hand on her cheek. "N-Nastu, H-how are you-"
"I'll explain later. All that matters is that I'm here" He leaned in until their foreheads touched together. More tears fell from her face. He used his thumb and wiped them off.
And what felt like years, his lips finally touched hers.Her free hand touched his cheek. As they pulled away, he looked at his newborn daughter and smiled.
"You wanna hold her"?
With that, he took her into his arms and sat by Lucy's side.
"Hello Nashi, I'm you daddy". He placed a gentle kiss on her cheek, then turned to Lucy. " what's her full name"?
" Nashi Heart Dragneel"
He leaned in to kiss Lucy once more. "I've missed you, Luce"
"I've missed you more Natsu"
There, in that room, stood one happy family. She knew, that love, is strong, powerful, and will always return.
