I hung my bedroom phone with a smile plastered on my face. I had just finished a call with Jasper, who invited me to go out with him. I had accepted.
Surely I've been on dates before with Nick and many other douchebags, but I've never been asked to go out on one in a straight forward manner as Jasper had.
"Hey Parker, your going on a date with me, I'll pick you up at 7 o'clock. okay?"
"Hi to you too West, I'm doing fine, thanks for asking" I continue "Oh you would like to bring me on a date, let me think about that ... Where are you taking me?" I ask, my mood suddenly shifting.
"It's a surprise. You like music right?"
"Um, who doesn't. And if you are taking me to some concert, I'm warning you now, I hate those, they're full of loud sadistic girls who scream and try to get obtain the attention of some pop star who doesn't even know they exist." I drag on until I hear a big beeping noise.
Jasper had hung up on me.
Since I was back home for the time being, I had my array of clothes. If the date had something to do with music then we were probably going to a concert of some sorts. I decided to go with a crop top that was labeled "WTF" and under that abrevation of the so called procastiny was "Where's the food" that was black and the writing was in white. I paired it with some (might I add) super cute high waisted midnight blue buttoned-up shorts.
While I waited for Jasper West, I went on Netflix and watched Grey's Anatomy, which was probably my favourite show right now. Then I heard the doorbell sound through the house and ran down the stairs, opened the door and found a very striking Jasper leaning against my door frame, holding a white rose.
"What, you don't think I'm good enough for red roses?" I asked, a smile creeping up my face.
"I'm original, I guess? Anyway, we have to go." He says, grabbing my hand and leading me to his car.
We enter his car and he turns on the engine and starts speeding off.
"Nice house by the way, what's your family do?"
"Well my dad is a fashion designer, his name is Theodore Parker" I say, not bothering to mention what Jillian does.
"Oh cool, my mom works as a flight attendant so she is usually away, and my dad, well he's not really around anymore." He says, his smirk coming off his face.
"Sorry about that." I say, not wanting to ask any further about his dad.
"He left us when I was 10, still remember like it was yesterday, seven years ago, and now I don't even know where the hell he is."
"God, that sucks."
Then there is a awkward silence that seeps through until we reach our destination, which to my surprise, is not a concert. No, it's much, much worst than that.
It's a karaoke place.
"Are you kidding me? Karaoke, seriously West?"
"Seriously Parker."

"Next up is Saylor Smift and Dustin Tieber." Announces the host of the karaoke place that Jasper had literally dragged me into. Literally.
"That's us" Jasper whispers into my ear, causing me to laugh of hysteria.
"Um no. Jasper come on, this is embarassing and who the hell is Saylor Smift and Dustin Tieber?"
"Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber 2.0, duh" He says dragging me to the stage, in just a few seconds, I find myself on a stage, standing in front of a couple of people.
" We'll be singing a real oldie, Something stupid by Robbie Williams" Jasper announces, a song that my mother loved and that I know all too well.
"I know I stand in line until you think you have the time to spend an evening with me and if we go someplace to dance I know that there's a chance you won't be leaving with me" Jasper sings, surprisingly with a beautiful angelic voice.
"Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place and have a drink or two and then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you" I sing.
And together we sing:
"I can see it in your eyes you still despise the same old lines you heard the night before and though it's just a line to you for me it's true and never seemed so right before. I practice every day to find some clever lines to say,to make the meaning come true but then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late and I'm alone with you. The time is right, your perfume fills my head. The stars get red, and oh the night's so blue. And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid like I love you.
I love you..."
