10. Move on

"That Di-" Before he can cuss about Nick, I interrupted him.

"He was drunk, maybe I overreacted" I defend him.

I really don't understand why I'm defending him, he is a jerk and the name that James was about to call him. It's been a day since the incident and I still remember every single detail of that day.

"Don't defend him, what that Nick dude did was stupid. He doesn't deserve you. He never did, never will" James knows exactly how to make me blush.

"Thanks. So, we never went on that Barnes and Nobles date" I say, changing the subject.

"No, I reckon, we never did. How 'bout we go right now?" He asks.

"You read my mind Mr. James Winchester" I say, grabbing my bag and heading to my car, almost forgetting about Nick, but then my stomach drops and I feel a stab of pain.

I try to blink a few tears away.

Even though Nick cheated on me, there is a part of me that yearns for him.

I guess I'll just have to try to move on...

Since we had the test yesterday, James and I didn't need to study at the Barnes and Nobles. Although it seemed like we were.

"What did you answer on question 6?"

"James, do you really believe I remember all of that?! There were almost 10000 questions on that goddamn test" I exaggerate.

"I remember..." James says, a bit embarrassed.

I choke on either my coffee or my spit. Or both. I'm not sure.

"Are you kidding me?! Your such a nerd!" I burst into laughter, punching him in the shoulder ever so slightly.

"Well nerds get into good universities, okay?" He takes a sip of his drink.

"Okay then." Before I can finish my sentence, my phone goes off.

Then, pops up a picture of Nick on my phone.

"You gonna take that?" James says, making me avert my eyes away from my phone.

"Nope." I say, closing my phone. Not now, at least...

We continue our conversation, joking here and there.

Conversations rise and cease. We talk about everything. Finally the date ends, when I realize that my headache has come back, now to think of it, I'm going to doctor Maria tomorrow to get my test results.

"James, I have a really bad headache, but this was really fun and I hope we can do this again sometime" I say, getting up from my seat and grabbing my purse.

"That's fine. What about tomorrow?He says
"Patience grasshopper, what about next Friday?" I propose.

"Yeah, I don't think I have anything scheduled" He says.

"Okay that's great!" I say

"Okay!" He says enthusiastically. "To next Friday then!" I leave the Barnes and Nobles without another word, my head not making me able to say a proper goodbye.

Okay guys, I know that I haven't updated this book in months but I was just so busy with school, and right now I'm having exams and recently was my birthday (may 16). So basically, this month has been jam packed. And I'm also sorry for the really short chapter. And I know in the previous author's note I said there would be test results. But honestly and truly, I need a full chapter for news like what's coming next so I promise next chapter will announce what were the test results!!!

And if I haven't made it clear already, this chapter takes place a day after the Nick and Amanda incident.
