"Don't you guys think we should go to where the noises were? Dave?"
"I told you it's probably a bad idea. You never know when it might be some sort of mutant monster beast or a zombie or maybe even just a plain old assassin hiding around there."
"OH MY *GOG*, FOR THE LAST TIME, THAT IS *HIGHLY* UNLIKELY. IF YOU JUST STOP AND TURN YOUR DOUCHEY SELF AROUND AND LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE IN YOUR WORTHLESS HUMAN LIFE, WE MIGHT BE FUCKING SAFE!" Karkat raged. It was sexy.
"Calm down Karkles, I'm just trying to keep a bro safe, you know?"
"NO, I DON'T FUCKING KNOW, I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FUCKING KNOW THIS ENTIRE FUCKING TIME AND YET YOU'RE STILL-"
"AHEM. GUYS," you cleared your throat and got their attention. They stopped and turned towards you, "Raise your hand in vote to go back to those noises." Karkat sighed and hesitated before raising his hand as well as yours, probably biting back some smart ass remarks.
"Raise your hand in vote to NOT go back to those noises." Dave raised his hand.
"OH, IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR OUTNUMBERED. COME ON, WHATEVER YOUR NAME IS,"
"[Y/N],"
"WHATEVER." Karkat grabbed your hand and started marching back to where the noises were and you nearly fainted because holy shit he was touching you.
A dramatic sigh was heard from behind you two, "Whatever, if ya'll get killed, don't blame it on me," he said, reluctantly starting to follow you both anyways. Karkat smirked, "IS STRIDER FINALLY NOT BEING A STUBBORN DOUCHE?"
"Shut up before I change my mind."
Karkat fell silent but continued to smirk. Dave slouched his shoulders as you followed him.
It was a long walk. Especially because of Dave's long-ass dialogue. In fact, he wouldn't stop talking until Karkat shouted at him. Then the awkward silence ensued, which may or may not have been even worse than Dave's talking.
Finally, all three of you started to hear the noise again, "That way," you pointed to the left. They agreed, and for once, you lead the way. Sucks, though, because now you can't see the booty anymore.
It wasn't long before you stumbled across a town. A town that was infested by creatures that looked like your senpai, your FIRST senpai.
They were sprites. Sprites were inhabiting this town.
Thousands
of
them.
"Well, shit," Dave said.
"HAH, FUCKING TOLD YOU. SPRITES AREN'T MURDERERS-"
"-Actually, it is possible that some of them are-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP. LET'S JUST GO."
You nodded and walked up to a green sprite who looked like a.. Crying dog girl?
"Uh, excuse me, miss?" You tapped her shoulder politely and she looked at you with ghostly green tears rolling down her cheeks, "Y-Yes?" She choked out.
Okay, maybe this sprite wasn't a very good one to walk up to and ask for directions, but oh well. Too late now, "Do you know where this place is?" You asked.
She shook her head no and burst into tears, "No, I'm sorry, I-I'm sorry-"
"No, no, it's fine, just.." You papped her back gently and she just straight up hugged you, crying into your shoulder. You blinked, surprised, but eh. You guess you needed a hug, too.
You hugged back, not really caring if your shoulder turned green afterwards, "Shh, there, there.." And then you realized that Karkat and Dave disappeared to somewhere, "Shit, um.. Hey, I have to go now, so.." Her grip on you tightened.
"PLEASE DON'T LEAVE," she cried. You took a deep breath, "Sorry, but I.. You can come with me if you want, um," you stood there awkwardly. She didn't say a word and merely sniffled and nodded, letting go and instead holding your hand.
You sighed and awkwardly shuffled through the crowd, keeping an eye out for Karkat and Dave.
Eventually, they were finally spotted. Karkat was behind Dave, glaring a bit at the creature Dave was talking to, which appeared to be an orange bird-version of Dave.
You waved at Karkat, but only Dave noticed and waved back, beckoning you over.
You trudged with the sad dog girl still holding your hand until you reached them, "Ey, Davesprite, this is [Y/N]," Dave pointed at you.
"Sup," Davesprite said and you waved awkwardly.
"CAN WE FUCKING LEAVE NOW?"
"Wait, did you find out where we are?" You asked. Dave shook his head, "No, apparently nobody here knows at all. This guy is pretty cool, though."
You groaned at the same time as Karkat and face palmed. NOW what?
"LOOK, CAN WE JUST GO AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE-"
"Hold up though, me and this bird version of me are trying to have a civilized conversation."
"Dave there's no time for this bull shit. Just bring the bird guy along with you because it appears this dog girl isn't leaving me either."
"Oh, hey Jade," both bird Dave and normal Dave said at the same time.
"JADE?" Karkat looked at her.
"Jade? That's your name?" You questioned, looking at her. She nodded, but then just started crying again, "SHIT, WHAT DID I SAY?" Karkat frowned. You just sighed and shook your head.
"RIGHT.. ANYWAYS, COME ON. I GUESS I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAD THIS SHIT MUNCHING EXCUSE AS A GROUP."
"Woah, hold up Karks, who said you were the leader?" Dave asked and Davesprite nodded in agreement.
"I DID, I ALWAYS WAS AND I'M SURE EVERYONE EXCEPT FOR YOU TWO DOUCHE FUCKS WOULD AGREE."
"Well maybe I want to be the leader."
"OH *HELL* NO, IF YOU THINK I'M A SHITTY LEADER, I DON'T EVEN WANT TO *THINK* ABOUT WHAT KIND OF LEADER YOU'D BE."
"Well maybe you should think because I'm sure that I'd be better.."
Blah blah argument argument rage.
Gog DAMN, this shit was getting chaotic. After a while you groaned loudly as everyone, even the sad dog lady, joined in on the argument, and you started to get pretty pissed, "EVERYBODY, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND FOLLOW SENP-I MEAN KARKAT!" You shouted.
They all stopped and blinked, looking at you. Every other busy sprite decided to stare as well and you panted, blushing a bit, "Damn, okay," Dave said, a small smirk in his voice. You calmed down a bit and Karkat cleared his throat, "YEAH, FOLLOW ME, NOOKWHIFFS."
You smiled a bit now that they weren't arguing anymore.
And so the angry crab man, cool shades guy, bird version of cool shades guy, crying dog girl, and random stalker chick all head off out of the town.
