A Captain's Pride

Chapter 1: I-I'm a Captain!

Author's Note: If your wondering why this chapter is listed as te first, it's because the part before this was sort of like a prologue..

Name: Shirohi Kenshiki

TIme: 100 years since that day: January 23, 2011. Shirohi looks about 20. 

Hair Color: Wild/ Messy dark grey that's down to her mid back and one bang covers her right eye.

Eyes: Left eye is blue, right eye is green

Appearance: A black Soul Reaper's kimono. Has black bandages covering her hands covering scars from a tough mission. Has her lip and ears pierced.

Zanpakuto: Kurodokukaki ( Black Poison Fire) Appearance (Katana, not released) : Purple and black hilt. Appearance (Inner world of Shirohi): A pale woman with black hair and purple streaks, Black horns, devil wings, and devil tail. Has a short, black metal dress with purple leggings on.

                     Shikai: "Eliminate, Kurodokukaki!" Appearance: A huge black scythe with a purple   blade. Intricate designs decorate the hilt.

                     Bankai: "Bankai! Tomoeshaku Kurodokukaki!" (All bow before Kurodakukaki) Apperance: Transforms into two metal gloves which can burn// poison anything she points at instantly.

 Squad Seat: 3rd Seat of Squad 10

Shirohi's POV:

"W-Will you please say that again, sir?"

Rangiku quickly jumped in front of Captain Hitsugaya. "You've been accepted as Captain of Squad 3! Congrats, Shirohi!"

"Rangiku..." Captain Hitsugaya growled. It was always like this, since the 21 years I've served as the 3rd seat of Squad 10. Working beside Rangiku and the others was always a blast for me and for my Zanpakuto, Kurodakukaki.

After the first time seeing Byakuya Kuchiki, I'd vowed to become a strong Soul Reaper. So, after I was about 80 years old, looking about 17, I enrolled in the Soul Reaper academy. Throughout the whole expierience, Tsukika was always there to cheer me on. I always visited her on days I had off, telling her all about my day. Being near my older sister always made my bad days better, and my great days greater.

After 5 years of studying, working, and practicing, I finally passed the entrance exams and I entered the 6th Squad. I then slowly made my way up the ranks and then up to the 3rd seat. However, I knew Captain Byakuya never acknowledged the weak, I still felt I wasn't strong enough to approach him.

So I spent another year working and working with Rangiku to obtain my Bankai. Kurodakukaki, my zanpakuto, is very kind so I obtained it very quickly. Afterwards, Rangiku and I became the best of friends, we then hung around each other nonstop. Same with Captain Hitsugaya, Rangiku, and I. Even though the Captain preferred Rangiku to do her work...

 After the Captain saw my Bankai, he was instantly amazed. He told Head Captian Yamamoto about my abilites and I was immediately tested to become a Captain. And I guess they had agreed to my request..  

"Anyways," Captain Hitsugaya said. "The Captain's meeting is tonight, The Head Captain said to bring you with me. He also said to give this to you."

Captain Hitsugaya, or can I say Toshiro now?, handed me a black plastic case. I lifted the lid to see some white cloth with the number three in japanese printed inside of a black diamond. Then it hit me.
