Chapter 6: Waiting

A/N: Hehe, it's been a while, guys! I'm so entirely sorry for disappearing on a whim like that. I've been caught up sooooo much in roleplaying on tumblr, it has been CRAZY. Also, I've found I really don't like adding OC's into my stories anymore. Which is why I moved to fanfiction.net for a while. Writing yaoi fanficition is something I've come to enjoy ^^

Don't blame me if my logic is this story is a little shaky. I haven't worked with Shirohi for a while, nor in first-person, so this is a bit new to me. Thanks.

Shirohi's POV:

I stood there, waiting. Just simply waiting. I blew air over my cold hands as the snow trickled down from the ever gray sky slowly, seeming to mock my depression. Hey, you couldn't blame me for being upset after my sister randomly disappears while an insane lady tries to kill me only to find out she works for some group that wants me.

Yeah, just a walk in the park .

With a sigh, I looked over to my right, seeing Izuru simply looking around, most likely wondering when the rest of the group was coming. "Of course. It's an important mission and I bet you Rangiku got drunk last night." I spoke up, smiling slightly at my lieutenant.

He blushed and let out a light cough. "A-Ano, y-yeah..."

I narrowed my eyes in suspisicion. That was the usual reaction from Izuru when he was lying, I'd come to know it by now. With a glum expression I look back to the sky. "You were out drinking with her, weren't you?"

Izuru flailed around with a blushing face. "T-Taichou! I-I'm so dearly sorry! M-Matsumoto-San t-talked me into it!"

I simply shook my head. "It's alright. That meeting caused us a lot of stress. I understand you and Rangiku's decision."

The blonde male stratched his head. "Th-Thank you, taichou..."

I simply shook my head and continued watching the falling snow. What was I going to do now? Defeat these random Arrancar in hopes of getting my sister back? Or simply give my life to them in hopes of seeing Tsukika again? So many question floated through my brain.

"Oh, here comes everyone!" Izuru nudged me and I looked behind me to see Toshiro, Rangiku, Byakuya, and Renji-fukutaichou approaching. I flushed red at sight of Byakuya and quickly composed myself.

Letting out a light chuckle, I smiled. "Umm, welcome, everyone. "

They all simply nodded.

Blinking, I turned and shrugged, motioning for the workers of the Senkaimon. They quickly poured their spiritual pressure into the gate and in a glow of light, the portal was opened.

I smiled lightly before looking over to Izuru, who smiled as well.

"Let's go." I spoke before jumping into the light.

Ichigo's POV:

"So," I mumbled with a lazy look. "Why are we here again?" I asked, looking at Rukia.

Her brow twitched before Rukia suddenly slammed her fist on the table. "You fool! Were you not listening earlier?! I said, 'We're going to Urahara's to meet with Captain Hitsugaya, Nii-Sama, Renji, Matsumoto-fukutaicho, Kira-fukutaicho, and Captain Kenshiki to discuss an important issue'! I swear, you never listen!"

I sighed. "It's not my fault! You woke me up too damn early for this!"

"You-!"

However, both of our shouting was intercepted by a rather loud yawn. Looking at the door I saw Urahara-San standing there in his usual odd attire. Seriously, what's with the hat?

"Kurosaki-San, Kuchiki-San, please lower your voices. It is only 8 in the morning after all." He spoke, moving to sit down at the table with us. Tessai quickly came in after, handing us all tea.

"Why do we have to be here so early anyways?! And can someone tell me what this 'issue' is?!" I asked impatiently, ignoring my steaming tea.

"I can explain that."

Blinking in confusion, it took me a moment to register that the voice come from the doorway behind me. The door slid open, revealing the three captains and vice-captains.
