Philosophy time:
So many girls are willingly chasing after popular guys, and if one lets her barriers crumble so easily, she will also crumble easily later on. Trust has to be slowly built up. The popular guys's arms may be wide open for a single girl, but still, one can't help but feel afraid that he's gnna hurt her by leaving or turning away any moment. After all, there are millions of girls after him and he's got infinite choices. No one wants to be just one of many of the playboy's girls.
