You were gone on a business trip.
3 Hour time difference.
Little time to talk.
It's been 2 weeks and you're finally coming home. I miss you so much, Oliver.
Your shirts don't smell like you and your side of the bed is cold.
The twins aren't home often and when they are its homework or asking to go somewhere.
Not that it bothers me. I just need the company.
I sat down on the couch and turned on the tv. Your favorite channel was on. Like usual.
I sat and waited.
And I waited.
And I waited.
I got up and turned the tv off, deciding if I was about to give up and go upstairs. But just then I heard you stick the keys into our front door.
My stomach had butterflies. My heart skipped a beat and my eyes started to water.
The moment you opened the door, I was hurdling over the couch, arms open wide and tears forming in my eyes.
You dropped your bags. Oliver you have to be careful with your stuff.
You opened your arms and I leapt into them, wrapping my legs around your waist and crying into your shoulder.
You stumbled and held me .
I was so happy.
"You're home..."
"I'm home."
You smiled and kissed me.
It was 1:26 am.
I was tired when you set me down on the couch and you got your stuff.
Soon you woke me up and smiled sweetly.
"let's go to bed jay."
You picked me up and carried me upstairs, I was holding on to you tightly, making sure you were still real.
Once we got into the bedroom, I kissed you as you set me down on the bed.
"I missed you so much, Oli."
"I did too, love. I did too."
I soon fell asleep in your arms.
Good night Oliver.
