Billy's Pov

Today I had to be in court back in the city, so Eve and I could get a divorced. My lawyer said since we was only married for 5 weeks and separated for 3 weeks this was all going to be done in one day. Thank God it was too. We was only in court for 3 hours. She walked out with her car, the apartment, the weeding rings and $4,000 and I walked out with my clothes, my truck, my bike and the other half of the $4,000 but now it's all done and over with. When we left Eve was there with her new boyfriend but I don't care. I walked out with my head held high and now I'm a new man. Dad and I talked to uncle Colby and starting next week I'll be working back at the factory and the best part is, I'll be making $28 an hour. Thank God I went to school when I was in the Navy to become a welder. That has help me so much. I got in my truck and checked my cell and saw that Dad called me. I saw it was 3 and the kids are out of school, so I called him back. It rang 4 times before he answered his cell. 

"Hey son how are you?" Dad asked me. 

"I'm great. The divorce went nice and smooth. I'm free now." I said. Dad chuckled a little. 

"That's good son. I'm happy for you? Listen I know you are a free man, but I want to take your mama out for a nice dinner and Benny has his tutor over so he really can't keep an eye on Brennan and Lila, I'll pay you--" I cut dad off. 

"Dad, I'll be more then happy to babysit my little brother and sister. What time should I be there?" I asked him. A good thing about me living on the farm, I'm only a short walk away if they need me. 

"7. You will have to cook." Dad said. 

"I'll order a pizza or something? So, where are you taking mama too." I asked him. 

"A small nice restaurant and maybe to make out point." Dad said. Dad's 46 years old and still looks like he is only 30 years old when I met him, and still wants to be the same sex crazy couple that they were when they first got married. I don't know how many times I walked in on them having sex. I see why I like it so much now. 

"Try not to get mama pregnant again, you wild, horny man." I said to him. 

"Nope, those day are long over with son." Dad told me. Yeah 4 kids is more then enough if you ask me. I know dad told me the same thing right when mama had Lila. 

"Heck, I tried old man." I said. 

"Hahahaha, well, I'll get off of here, see you when you get to the house. Love you son and please drive safe." Dad told me. I love how we are not real father and son, but he treats me like I was his own and he does love mama, like no other man has loved a woman. 

"Love you too dad, see you soon." I said, hanging up mu cell. I turned the truck on and blasted my music and got the hell out of the city. Country here I come.  

I just went right to mama's and dad's place instead of my cabin. Yes I have moved to my own place. I like it like this? I can come and go when I want too. I can have people over. Hell I'm 26 years old, I should not still be wanting to live with my folks no more. Yes I still drink, but not like how I was doing. To be honest Sophie helped me the last few weeks with everything that has been going on. I got out of the truck and saw Benny and his tutor sitting outside working on school work. I walked up to them. 

"Hello, I'm Billy Gilbert, Benny's big brother." I said to her. She had big glasses, and her red hair was up in a messy bun. 

"Hi, I'm Shiloh, I'm Benjamin's math tutor." She said to me in a small voice. 

"Nice to met you. I'll leave you two alone." I said to them. 

"Nice to met you too." Shiloh said to me. I looked at my brother and he did not look happy at all. I walked in an saw Brennan and Lila watching TV in the living room. I walked into the kitchen to get me a soda. When mama walked in, in her tight little red dress on and her cow boy booths. Dad better watch the boys around her tonight.
