Brantley's Pov

Leigh Ann and I just walked into the hospital room where Lisa (Leigh Ann's Mama) was in. The whole family is here with her, in this bad time. Leigh Ann and I don't know what happened still, we are waiting on the doctor to get in with the test that they did on Lisa. Leigh Ann and I sat with our family an I looked over at my mama and Patty who was crying there eyes out. The 3 of them have best friends for years now. They all are sister's no matter what? I looked at my wife who was holding Lila, as they both was crying as well. Thank God Brennan an Lila was with Mama Roe, but I feel really bad, all I wanted was to have a date night with the love of my life, and I saw how tired Lisa was, but all I was thinking was myself. Never again. 

"Mama what is taking the doctor so long? Why can't we been in the room with grandma." Billy asked us. Thank God he was home tonight, so Lila could run and tell him. 

"I don't know sweetie. They must be doing a lot of different test on mom." Leigh Ann said to Billy. I was holding on to her. 

"They need to hurry up, all of this waiting is driving me nuts." Billy said walking back over to Sophie and Angeletta. Billy told me that Angeletta has been calling him daddy and he loves it. Heck they even got a puppy and named her Coco. 

"Honey are you okay? Do you need anything Baby Girl." I asked my wife. She looked at me, and after all of these years she was the strong one. 

"Can you hold me. Please I need my husband." Leigh Ann asked me. I picked her up and sat her on my lap and held on to her like my life needed her. 

"I love you." I told her. 

"Love you more." Leigh Ann told me. I looked around the room and saw Billy, Sophie and Angel was holding onto each other. Brennan and Lila was sitting with my mama and Patty. Dean was holding on to Lucy and there kids was playing with Colby and Eddi's kids Lakin and Collin. We was sitting there for about 20 minutes before the doctor finally came out. 

"Lisa Roe's family." The doctor asked. We all got up and got around him. 

"Y'all are Lisa Roe's family." Doctor asked all of us. 

"Yes we are? I'm her daughter. My husband Brantley, our 3 out of our 4 kids, these 2 are her sister's Patty and Becky, my brother in law's Dean and Colby, and my sister in law's Lucy and Eddi and all of there kids, and my granddaughter Angel. Now, what is wrong with my mother?" Leigh Ann asked him. 

"Well, Do you want to talk one on one or say it here?" The doctor asked us. 

"Tell us here? We are all her family." Leigh Ann said to him. 

"Okay Lisa has cancer." The doctor said. Every one in the room was in tears. 

"What kind doc?" Billy asked him. 

"Breast Cancer, I'm sorry?" The doctor told us. That can't be happening? She take's great care of her self. 

"What do you have to do?" Leigh Ann asked him. I was holding on to Leigh Ann, but I was starting to shake as well. 

"Well, we are taking her breast off, and see if that will work if not she will go throw chemo therapy?" The doctor told us. 

"What stage does Lisa have doc?" My mother asked him. 

"Stage 4. If the removing of the breast don't work and 10 rounds of chemo therapy don't work, there will be nothing more we can do for her, I'm sorry." The doctor told us. 

"When are you doing this?" Sophie asked him. 

"Tonight. The other nurses and 2 other doctor's are going to do it now. Do you have any more questions for me?" The doctor asked us. 

"No, thank you doctor?" I said to him. 

"I'll send a nurse to get you when I'm done." The doctor said walking away. 

"Mama." Billy said walking over to Leigh Ann, Brennan, Lila and I. We all was holding onto each other. Cancer. One of the sweetest women I know has Cancer. 

"She will be fine. I know my mom will. We just need to pray for her. That's it. Yeah, she will be fine." Leigh Ann said crying her beautiful eyes all out. 

"Hun, I'm taking the kids all down to the kitchen to get something to eat. Billy stay with your family." Sophie said. I looked at my 2 younger children. 

"Go with Sophie. Here is some money." I gave Brennan 20 bucks. 

"Thanks dad." Brennan said to me. 

"Your welcome. Hold your sister's hand okay son." I said to him. 

"I will dad. Come on Lila, we will get you some juicy okay." Brennan said to Lila. 

"Okay, thank you Brennan." Lila said to her big brother. 

"You are welcome Lila. I'll tell you a story about grandma, when we get to the lunch room okay." Brennan said to Lila. 

"Is it funny." Lila asked her big brother

"You will love it." Brennan said. I lobe how all of my children are so goo with each other and they have a lot of years between them. Billy's 26, Benny is 17, Brennan is 12, and Lila is 9 years old. 

I watched as Sophie, Angeletta, Lakin, Colin, Dodge, Jr. Brennan and Lila all walked out of the waiting room. I looked at my wife, who was still crying. 

"Come here Baby Girl." I said to her. Leigh Ann walked over to me and I sat her on my lap and held on to her. 

"Mama Lisa, is a fighter, we will get over this." I told her. 

"Dad, I'm going to call Benny and tell him what's going on?" Billy told me. 

"Okay thanks son." I said to him. I watched as he went outside. Damn I need a smoke really bad, but my girl need's me more, then I need a cigarette. 

"Brantley, I want mom to move in with us. I don't want her to be alone, and I don't want to fight about it. I'm her only child that she has and I'm not ready to let her go yet." Leigh Ann told me. 

"Sounds perfect to me. We can move her into the spare room we have and she can live with us for how ever it takes." I told her. 

"Okay, thank you." Leigh Ann told me. 

"We are family. That's what family do." I said to her. Now all we have to do is pray that everything will be okay with Mama Lisa.
