Sophie's Pov

I was just getting off of work and on my way to pick up my daughter to get to the football game tonight. Thank God it was payday for me and the last day of work for this week. I've been trying to save as much money I can so Angeletta and I can move out of my parents house. I know they don't mine us living there, but when I work late my mama has to do everything with Angeletta and I feel like I'm not really there for her. I know my brothers will like to stop sharing the same bed room with each other. Yes I do pay for us,  but sometimes you just need help, you know. I walked into the day center were Angeletta is at. Since she's only 4 I can't put her in Pre-K I have to wait until she's 5 for that. I walked over to Ms. Lynn who runs the place with her daughter as well. She's a sweet older woman and a heart of gold. 

"Hello dear." Ms. Lynn said to me. 

"Hello Ms. Lynn how are you today?" I asked her. 

"Fine. Just fine, the children watched Frozen and play outside today." Ms. Lynn told me. Frozen was my daughters' favorite move ever. We watch it about 5 times a week. 

"That's good. Was all the girls singing along with the songs." I asked her. 

"Even a few of the boys was, but shh okay." Ms. Lynn told me. 

"That's cute. I'm here to pay you what I owe you this week and to get my daughter Angeletta." I told her. 

"Okay. I'll go and get her. She is a very sweet young lady. You did a good job with that one." Ms. Lynn told me. That makes me feel a lot better about my self. After Pierre's and I divorced and he moved back to Paris, and didn't want nothing to do with us, that makes me feel great. I know I missed up with her, but what I do is all for her. 

"Thank you Ms. Lynn. That means a lot to me." I told her. 

"Don't worry, us single mother's need to stick together if you ask me." Ms. Lynn told me. 

"I agree." I said. I watched as she went back to get my baby. I pulled out my wallet. I only have $200 for the next 2 weeks. I have to give Ms.  Lynn at least $125 of that and I need to help mama with the food bill this week. Lord Help me. 

"Mummy! Mummy! Mummy! Look what I did." Angeletta said. I love her thick accent that she has. I looked at the picture and it was me and her in a house with the sun and a cat I think. I know she wants a cat, and we will get one soon. 

"Oh, honey I love it. When we get home we will put it on the wall in the bed room okay." I told her. 

"Next to the window okay mummy." Angeletta told me. 

"You got it sister." I told her. 

"Okay, Ms.Lynn $125 right." I asked her. 

"Hum, let's just do $75 this week. Is that okay with you." Ms. Lynn asked me. 

"Ms. Lynn it's been $125 every two weeks for us." I told her. 

"Honey, she's only here 4 days a week and I see tough times when I see them. So for you lovely ladies new payment is $75 every 2 weeks. Deal." Ms. Lynn said. I gave her a big hug. 

"Thank you so much Ms. Lynn. You don't know know how much you just help me." I told her. 

"That's fine, but I will need you to start bring in snack once a mouth okay. What ever you want to bring okay. Here is the list of children and we have 7 girls and 5 boys okay." Ms. Lynn told me. 

"Yes ma'am. Thank you so much." I said I picked up Angeletta and walked out of the kid center and got in my car to get us home. 

We walked into the house and saw my parents making out on the couch. After all of these years they are still hot for each other.   

"What are you two doing?" I asked them.

"Making out with my old man. How was school sissy?" My mother asked 

"It was fun sissy. I played with the new boy and we watched Frozen." My daughter told her grandma. I love how they call each other sissy. Lucy is her grandmother. Heck I named Angeletta after Lucy. She is my mom and she is Angeletta's grandmother. I haven't seen Lori, my real mother since I was 8 years old.

"You like that movie don't you baby girl." My dad asked her. 

"It's my favorite Popsi. You know that." Angeletta told her grandpa. 

"I do. Are you and your mommy going to the football game with us." Dad asked her. 

"Yes. Lila said I can play with her and her cat." Angeletta said. She wants a cat so damn bad it's not even funny no more. 

"That's good." Dad said. My mother's cell rang.

"It's Leigh Ann. Hey girl what's up." Mom said walking to the kitchen. 

"How was work today?" Dad asked me. 

"Long. I was on Y-4 today and well, we lost one of the tridents today." I told him. I hate and love working at the nursing home. But it's hard when you loose some one. 

"I'm sorry babe." Dad said. Mom walked back to the living room. 

"Well, that was Leigh Ann and she wants us to pick up the meat and her and Brantley will pay us back." Mom said. 

"Why can't they just buy it?" Dad asked. 

"Well, Billy is back." Mama said. 

"Billy!! I love Billy." Angeletta said. 

"I know you do?" Mama said. 

"Where is Eve at?" I asked Like I really give a fuck but I'm trying to be nice.

"She left him." Mama said. I looked at her and I was pissed off. Why would she leave him!!

"What?" Dad said. 

"She was cheating on him and be walked in and found them. She kicked him out and they are getting divorced." Mama said. Poor Billy. 

"Wow. Poor kid. It's only been what a month?" Dad asked. 

"5 weeks to the day?" I said. 

"Well, are they still want to do all of this? I mean we can drop it and not have the BBQ." Dad said. 

"I asked Leigh Ann and they are still having the BBQ and they want us all there." Mama said. 

"Well, we better go. Angel will you go and tell your uncles for me." Dad said 

"Sure will Popsi." Angeletta said running to her uncles room.

"Well, I'm going to change and get ready?" I told him. 

"Okay honey." Mama said. I walked to my room and closed the door and cried a little. How could that whore do that to Billy? He's sweet, tall, nice, good looking, and will do any thing for you. I better not see that whore no were if I do Lord help me please.
