Chapter 10

Kaitlan's POV (I know such switch xD)

He thinks he can make a fool out of me like that and get away with it. I'm going to have to find something that makes it look like this baby is his. Yeah okay I admit the baby isn't his, although the guy who is wanted nothing to do with me anymore considering that I'm pregnant. To be honest I'm terrified. Once my father found out I was pregnant he flipped his shit and kicked me out. It took a week for my mother to convince him to let me move back in, he said he was disappointed and asked if it was Caiden's I panicked and said yes. He hasn't spoken to me since and gives me glares and leaves a room once I enter. When he was leaving I stopped him by asking "Why do you hate me?" He turned to look at me with a look of disgust in his face and said "Your pregnant. You're 16 for fucks sake. You are such a disappointment, and why of all people would you let Caiden get you pregnant? You could have done so much better than him" by the end he was almost in tears "what should I do?" I didn't want him angry at me anymore. "Abort it" my heart sunk. I couldn't do that "or stay with him until you've had the baby and leave it in his care. I don't want a baby under my roof" I nodded. I was terrified to tell Caiden. But I had to.

I reached into my bag and pulled out my phone. Unlocking it, I went to my contacts list and scrolled down to his name. I was about to press call but stopped and looked at my father "I'm not going to abort my child." His face tensed and his features became angry "Then get out" with that he left.

Before my tears fell I called Caiden in hopes that he'd pick up. I heard three rings. Then silence. I thought he'd put the phone down so I sighed and pulled the phone away from my ear. Then I heardhis voice "Hello?" Of course he'd deleted my number. "H-hi Caiden. It's Kaitlan" I heard his intake of breath. "Kaitlan, I'm not the father of your baby and your not fooling anybody by saying that it is mine" His voice was slightly raised. "CAIDEN!" It stopped him talking "I know. I know I was wrong to do that to you. I know the baby isn't yours. I was just scared" He remained silent so I took this as my chance to continue "My father found out. He asked whose it was and I panicked. Then your name left my mouth before I could stop it and I regretted it immediately I didn't want to drag you into this mess. I really didn't." I licked my lip and he sighed "Okay? I accept you apology. But why couldn't you have done this at school?" I closed my eyes and looked down, ashamed. "I need a favour. And before you say no. Please hear me out!" I was getting desperate at this point. I couldn't stay out on the streets even for a night. I wasn't particularly worried about myself, I could handle it. I just don't want any harm to come to my baby. He sighed "I'm listening"

"Okay. Well when I told my father, he started to ignore me and give me the evils. So I asked him what I could do you make him happy again. He said I had to... That I had to abort my baby." He gasped in shock "Either that or I had to leave. Well, I'm not aborting it so I have to move out. I wouldn't ask if I wasn't desperate. Would you potentially mind letting me stay with you. Just for tonight. Then I promise I'll go." I heard him talking with some people on the other end of the phone. "I'm not actually living at my house at the moment Kaitlan, something happened and I'm staying with someone else at the moment." My heart dropped "Caid, Ummm, don't worry about it. I'll find somewhere for tonight. I hope everything works out with your family." As I was about to cancel the call he screamed my name "The people I'm staying with said you can stay with them as long as you need. You know Alex Smith?" (It literally took me too long to remember his surname xD) I nodded then realised he couldn't see me "The small blonde boy in our year?" He made a noise as if agreeing with me. "Well, i'm staying with him and his family. They've agreed to let you stay." I smiled "Where abouts do they live? I'm gonna need to know how long the walk will be" I said with a little chuckle. He responded with a little chuckle of his own "You aren't walking, we'll come get you. Its too late and too cold to be walking around" I smiled "Thank you" We said our goodbyes and I walked out the kitchen to see my mother an father stood there both with tears in their eyes. "Please, sweetheart, don't go" my mum said. Tears started to form. "I have to" With that I walked up the stairs and into my room. Packing all the things id need.
