Last week I found out that my mother was in a koma and that's the reason I wasn't able to see her. My mom and dad's family are with me now waiting to see whether or not we are able to see mom. It's been killing me not being able to talk to her, hug her, hear her voice, kiss her and tell her I love her. I've been dying inside.

I see the receptionist and doctor walk up to me so I stand up and start walking over to them. My nan follows me but I tell her that I need to do this alone.

"Hello Harper, you are able to see your mother" was the best nine words I've heard in a long time.

With that I run to my mums room and see her lying on the hospital bed...fragile. A single tear drops from my eye, shortly followed by a whole waterfall. I get the courage to open the door and walk into my mums room. I sit in the chair that is by the side of her bed and grab my moms tanned yet cold hand and kiss it. I missed the touch of her hand.

I move my moms arm carefully and lie by the side of her with my arm wrapped around her waist and just like that I fall asleep.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. Was the loud noise that woke me up. In shock I jump up and press the 'emergency' button by the side of my mums bed and one by one the doctors and nurses take her away into what I guess is an operating room. And with that I'm left there standing in complete shock with tears streaming down my face.

I'm beginning to get sick of crying and hearing bad news, it just seemed like it was a pattern.

I saw the doctors bring my mom back into her room so I ran up to them and bombarded them with many, many questions and all they replied with was a smile. It wasn't a sympathetic smile...it was a happy one.

"Your mother is one hell of a fighter, she will be absolutely fine. She will be awake within the next hour or two so you can sit in her room and wait if you like" doctor cope told me.

I couldn't help but feel happy so I hugged him tightly and repeatedly thanked him for everything.
