It's now the day after being picked up from the airport and I'm still jet lagged. I check my phone for the time and see that it's 15:00pm meaning that I've been asleep for a while. I walk downstairs and hear my mum talking to my family about school. Ugh the six letter word every teenager hates.
"Good morning darling, how was your sleep? I hope you like your room!" My aunt says with hope.
"I'm fine just jet lagged still and I love it, the view in there is amazing!" I reply with a smile.
"Harper may I talk to you about school please?" My mom requests. I reply with a sigh and she continues. "Me and aunt Sheela have talked about you going to Matts school with him so he can show you around and help make things easier for you" she finishes.
"I'm fine with that, when do I start?" I reply.
"Tomorrow" my mom smiles.
She's got to be joking...tomorrow.
"Yes Harper, tomorrow" she laughs.
Oh shit I said that out loud. Oops. Well it looks like tomorrow is my first day at an American public school. Kill me now.
