A thousand miles,
A thousand steps,
All leading down
A single road,
Tracing borders
Of unseen lands
With fragile steps.
Yet the inability
To turn away is
Always enthralling
Pulling backwards,
Going back to what
Was once unfamiliar
But now a second home.
Friends 'til the end,
Fight for one another,
Die for one another.
Be there until the end.
Lies are the only words,
Coming from the mouth
Of someone you trust
And yet you stay,
With him, like an
Addiction.
And walking back;
You return to the
Hell he found you in.
You step back inside,
Back inside the
Enemy.
Back inside
Screaming inside
The truth:
I AM HUMAN.
Have Mercy.
You step back inside.and the light breaks in...
and i am broken...
you are broken.
// I wrote this before watching The Witch's Familiar, but after seeing several main plot points on tumblr (Curses!) and I decided to write a poem inspired by what I saw and inspired by "Borders" by The Half Earth. (And, subsequently, an AMAZING YouTube video for that episode with this song).
I'll post the YouTube video that this was inspired from after I've seen the episode and write a true poem for the episode. \\
