As the five of them sat down for dinner, Frank knew he was in for a lot. His mother took the roses from him and put them in a vase in the center of the table, which thankfully had no meat on it.
Frank slid into the seat next to Gerard, the older boy smiling weakly at him in an attempt to reassure him in the awkward atmosphere. Mikey sat across from them, the technical adults on each of the end of the table. They began to dig into the meal, Frank slowly nibbling on his salad and glancing over at Gerard every few seconds.
"So, Frank, you didn't tell me you and Gerard were dating." Frank's mom started, causing Gerard to choke slightly on his food and Frank to go bright red. "We-we're not...uh...." Frank choked out, face flushing in embarrassment. "Oh? Well, from what you did last night I assumed..." Frank knew exactly where this was going and he was fucking determined to not have his mother admit that he jacked off over a boy he'd just met that day and then proceeded to call his friend and rant about his face for a few hours.
"Mom no." Frank said, glancing at Gerard to see the little smirk he had on his face. Goddammit. Frank shot him a look, to which Gerard just rolled his eyes and took another bite of his pasta. "What did Frank do last night?" Mikey asked, innocent eyes scanning the wide ones of Frank.
"It's not quite dinner-appropriate..." Frank's mother said, smiling awkwardly at the sixteen year-old. Mikey raised his eyebrows at that, and Gerard muttered something, almost inaudible to everyone but Frank, that made Frank either punch himself in the face or pin Gerard up against the wall and fuck him senseless.
"Naughty boy."
Frank shot a look at Gerard, who just smirked and continued eating his food nonchalantly.
It went on like that for the rest of dinner, Elena Way practically interrogating Frank with questions, Gerard making sarcastic of very inappropriate comments under his breath which caused Frank to choke on his water more than once. By the end of the meal, Frank was ready to punch himself in the eye socket or choke Gerard for saying that stuff.
Gerard and him were excused from the table, Frank's mother wanting to interrogate Mikey, and maybe she possibly wanted Frank and Gerard to spend some time alone together who knows.
They stood out on the porch, the sun had set, and the moon has risen, and Frank was staring at the celestial being with an entranced look in his eyes. He was staring at Gerard if you didn't catch that. There was a slight summer breeze, swirling the midnight black locks of Gerard's hair away from his face. The dim light from the moon reflected in his golden-specked eyes, creating a misty shine that made him look like a spirit. He was beautiful.
Frank sighed in admiration of the beautiful human next to his, catching the attention of said human. "Staring at me, Frankie?" Gerard's sideways smirk almost taunted him, seeming to challenge him to say anything back. It was a sexy little smirk, which didn't help that boy connected to said smirk has the most beautiful porcelain skin and the eyes that pulled Frank in like a fishing line whenever their gaze met his.
"Yeah." Frank sighed, deciding it was best not to lie to Gerard, because he was a horrible liar and Gerard would probably be able to see though his ruse. Gerard shook his head, laughing as the hair fell into his eyes. He looked up at Frank, connecting his hazel golden-flecked gaze with Frank's. "I don't understand your infatuation with me, I'm just me." Gerard's smile was full of confusion at Frank's actions, almost in a "why do you think I'm so special?" look.
"That's what I like about you though, you're you." Frank laughed, stepping closer to Gerard and took his hand, linking the porcelain fingers with his tattooed ones. In a completely non-homosexual manner, obviously. It's not like Frank had said anything prior that would give someone the idea that he like Gerard like that at all.
