Double-Edged Sword
I thought I was alone,
Sitting in this pain,
But now you came to join me,
And I don't like the change.
I was okay inside my head,
As long as you were safe,
But now my thoughts lay on the floor,
You're sifting through my brain.
I read your mind, an open book,
I can see through your pain,
But now I know you're hurting,
There's nothing I can change.
You sliced right through, my thoughts
And yours, with a single slash.
Now there is no room to move,
How can we break our past.
I do not know how long or far,
That we will share this pain.
But 'til that time, I am right here,
And that will never change.
