Chapter Twelve

Caitlyn's POV
Today Breezie, Brooke, and Lairaine were throwing me a baby shower and I was super excited! It was going to be a pink rustic fall theme since it is the middle of October. (We're just gonna pretend it's October ok? Ok.)

I decide I should start getting ready so I walk over to the closet picking out a white and red flannel button up and some light washed jeans. I change into my clothes, somehow barely managing to button my shirt over my belly.

I go into the bathroom and start doing my hair and makeup. I curl my hair and put it in a waterfall braid. Before putting some foundation, blush, mascara and eyeshadow on. I walk back into the bedroom putting on my dark brown ridding boots as well as my wedding and engagement ring.

I walk out to the living room where I see Wes sitting on the couch on his phone. He's dressed in a black v-neck, light washed jeans, and black Converse.

"Good morning beautiful." Wes says giving me a kiss.

"Good morning."

"How are my girls doing this morning?" He asks, rubbing my belly.

"Good. Someone's been very squirmy this morning." I say as we both laugh.

"She's just excited for today." He says smiling, causing me to smile. "You ready to go?" He asks and I nod. We walk down the stairs and out to the car. We both get in before we start driving to Lairaine's house.

We pull up to Lairaine's house and Wes opens my door, helping me out of the car. He holds my hand in his and we walk in.

"Hey guys!" Lairaine greets as we walk in.

"Hey mom." Wes says giving her a hug.

"Hey Lairaine." I say hugging her.

"How's baby doing?" She asks, rubbing my belly.

"She's very squirmy this morning." I say and she laughs.

"Girls Wes and Cait are here!" She calls, a few seconds go and Brooke and Breezie come running in.

"How's my little niece doing?" Breezie asks, giving me a hug.

"She's squirmy." I say and she laughs.

"How's my sister-in-law?" Brooke asks giving me a hug.

"Pretty good, still trying to get use to being pregnant."

"How many weeks are you?" She asks.

"About twenty-one."

"So should we finish decorating?" Lairaine asks and we all nod. We walk into the living room and I grab a roll of streamers and tape. "Nope Cait you aren't decorating. This is your baby shower so you can just sit down and relax." Lairaine says. I shrug setting the stuff down before walking over to Wes who was on the couch and sitting on his lap.

After about an hour of the girls decorating and all of us making small talk the doorbell rings. Lairaine gets up and walks into the front room. A few seconds go by and Lairaine walks in with none other than Drew's girlfriend Ocean.

"Hey baby mama." She says and I laugh.

"Hey Ocean!." I say excitedly giving her a hug.

I know what you're thinking, if you aren't talking to Drew then why'd you invite his girlfriend to your baby shower? Well Ocean has been my best friend since I went to college. We met when I was a freshman and she was a senior, we were both in the same money management class. And then after that I introduced her to Drew.

"How's the little one doing?" She asks, rubbing my belly. Once she does that I feel little peanut kick.

"I'll let her speak for herself." I say and we both laugh.
