The Lab

Chapter 2

Kitsune roars and races at the men. I follow charging quickly picking my target instantly. I turn to the right spotting one guard starting to pull out what looks to be a Taser. I'm too fast for him though. I pounce on him easily tackling him down. His Taser flies out of his hands. I snap wildly at him trying to bite his neck but his right hand is pushing me away from him. He rolls over on his stomach trying to reach the Taser. He finally is free and starts to crawl quickly towards his weapon. I think fast and bite down on his leg pulling him back. He screams and wildly tries to pull away. I bite down harder tasting blood wanting him to suffer, I hated him, and I didn't even know his name.
Suddenly I hear a scream from behind me and I whip my head around letting go of his leg. Its Erin, and two of the guards have surrounded her. I growl and forget the man I was fighting. I charge at the two attacking her, pick my target, and leap at him. I pin him down and smooch his face into ground with my front paw.

"GET OUT OF HERE ERIN." I shout at her in my new snarly voice.

I yelp in pain feeling something strike me on my side and fall off theguard. I try getting up and feel a foot ram into my back. I feel myself start to turn human again and look up seeing the other guard has pinned me down. He smirks looking down at me. I try to squirm loose and feel him push into my back harder. "Calm down, were not going to hurt you." he says in a sarcastic voice. He grabs my arms and takes his foot off my back, pulling me too my feet. I growl at him trying to pull myself free. He pulls my arms behind my back and pushes me towards the truck.

I turn around and see that Kitsune is being pinned down by two men andshe was still trying to fight back. I step on the guards foot causing him to let go of me and I kick him in the leg. He falls to the ground and I race over to help Kitsune. I tackle one of theguards off Kitsune pinning her down. I suddenly fall off of him and lay on the ground in pain. I look up and see that the other one that I kicked had a tazer in a his hand. I look over and see that Kitsune has given up too. We were defeated. This couldn't be happening, no, I can't go back to this place! I feel hands roughly grab me and drag me away.

All of us, including Erin were all dragged to the truck. They had shoved us all into separate crates, at least I could keep my back straight as I sat down. Kitsune and I kept quiet while Erin looking like she was having a panic attack. I didn't blame her.

"Why didn't you run...?" I ask looking up at Erin. She looks at me with sad eyes and is crying. She wipes her tears away and sniffs not answering. I sigh, it wasn't worth it to get angry at her.

"At least Ivan is safe Lucy... I hope." Kitsune says trying to sound positive. Which was weird hearing her say something like that since she never really sounded happy.

"W-where are we going exactly and.... who the heck are you people?" Erin asks in a shaky voice. Kitsune and I exchange glances not sure how to tell her this.

"Well..for one were not human if you haven't noticed that." Kitsune says answering one of her questions. "Also, were probably heading back to the lab as we like to call it." Kitsune answers again sounding sarcastically happy.

"W-what are they going to do to us...?" Erin asks her voice shaking. Neither of us answer this time, we didn't know.

We all go silent again and suddenly we feel the truck come to a stop, and we all seem to come alive again. Waiting for a few second to see what happened next the doors to the back of the truck swung open. Waiting for us was six guards and three labbies as we liked to call the white coats. I hear Kitsune growl behind me sounding like she's ready to murder someone.

"Take them inside, now, we have lots to get done." I hear one of the labbies say. I watch as two guards lean in and grab the sides of mycrate and pull me out. I look back at Kitsune and Erin and see the worried looks on their faces.

"Set them on the cart." I hear a woman say but not who's saying it. I feel myself get dropped onto the cart and I hold onto the bars not wanting to fall off. I watch as they carry Erin over and set her next to me. I then hear them set down something on top of us, Kitsune. Someone starts to push us inside and I look forward and see the horrid building before me, the lab. Please let Ivan be safe, and Kevin. I forgot about him. It wasn't just the three of us who know about this place, Kevin was another one of us. Two years ago, the last time we were here, we had all escaped and when we did Kevin just vanished as soon as we escaped. We tried to go look for him but we had no luck.

The two main doors to the building are opening up by two guards as we are wheeled inside. Inside I recognized the same gleaming white ceiling and walls. Bright light shined from the ceiling making the walls almost sparkle. We are wheeled through different hallways in which we pass many different doors labeled with numbers. We pass by a few guards armed with guns, guessing that there making their rounds. I look behind me to see Erin hugging her legs.

We finally make it too the section with the glass cage rooms. I feel memories flood back to me and I try to shake them away. We stop by one cell and they unlock the latch to Erin's cage and pull her out. They push a button by the cell door and I watch it slide open. They shove her inside and she falls to the ground. They wheel us forward a bit more and then stop only one cell down from Erin's. They unlock the latches to both Kitsune and mines cages grabbing our arms pulling us out.

They push a button to my cell and I watch the door slide open. They shove me in causing me to fall like Erin did. I watch them shove Kitsune into the one next to mine also. As soon as she fall in she gets to her feet and races towards the door but it closes as soon as she reaches it. This then triggered Kitsune to literally spit out every single cuss word you could think of at them. I watch the guards and the labbies roll the cart off with the empty cages still on it.

"You okay Erin?" I ask looking over to her.

"What did you say?" she asks walking over to the glass. I chuckle remembering she doesn't have our hearing ability. I've been hanging out with Kitsune and Ivan for way to long. I walk over to the glass and sit down crossing my legs.

"I said, are you okay?" I ask again. She nods slowly. I give her a look knowing she's not okay. "What are they going to do to us Lucy, seriously." I think about that this time. "Well... for Kitsune and I, tests probably. You on the other hand... we don't know. I'm sorry that you got caught up in all of this." We both go silent,except for Kitsune having her tantrum.

"Kitsune and Lucy." says a loud echoing voice. We all jump and that shuts up Kitsune even. Probably a speaker system somewhere in the room.

"We warned you that you belonged to us, and for disobeying our orders, therefor you are too be punished." I look at Erin her eyes wide. I get to my feet looking around suddenly terrified. I suddenly hear a faint humming noise which seems to be below me. I jolt of pain rushes through me suddenly and I scream falling to the ground. I look around and see everything is spinning. I blink a few times and see Erin looking at us terrified. I look on the ground and see little flashes of blue light on the ground. I scream again feeling another jolt of pain slice through me like I was butter. Not even a moment later another hits me. I wait terrified its going to happen again. Nothing, but I still feel like crap. Suddenly I do something I haven't done in a long time, I start to cry. I curl up in a ball feeling like a five year old and start to bawl. I hug my legs, tuck my head in continuing to cry. I felt like a wimp after toughening myself up after all these years. Why was my life like this? I scream hitting the floor hating this. I spit cuss words hoping that these Labbies and guard bastards can hear me. I just want to go home.
