Part 13. "Playing with fire will only cause you to burn"

"So how long has this been going on?" Michelle asked.
"Around a month and 3 weeks." Carla replied, looking at the floor. This is where Michelle would be offended. Almost 2 months of secrecy and Michelle had no part of it. Michelle sighed deeply.
"Does anyone else know?" Carla shook her head and so did Nick.
"Not that we know of. Hopefully no one knows." Nick said looking at Carla. Little do they know that Peter knows half of the story, but he thinks it's Steve McDonald that Carla is screwing but it's actually his least favourite person in the world, Nicky Tilsley.
"You need to tell Peter." Michelle advised Carla. "And you, you need to tell Leanne." Michelle raised her voice slightly.
"Shh, keep your voice down!" Carla told Michelle.
"Keep my voice down?! I could hear everything the two of you were saying from inside! What if I were Peter or Leanne? What then ey?" Michelle snapped.
"Alright, this isn't doing anyone any good. You two need to stop arguing." Nick said. "I'll go back inside to let you guys talk this through." Nick said whilst getting up from his seat. He bent down to kiss Carla quickly and walked back inside.
"I'm sorry Michelle." Carla said, looking Michelle straight in the eye.
"It's okay, but Carla, you need to end this now, before Peter or Leanne find out for them selves. Playing with fire will only cause you to burn." Michelle advised. Carla looked to the floor and thought of these words carefully. Then she thought of a way to tell Peter everything...
