You are the Mariana Trench and he's a rain puddle; how in the world do your thoughts seep through to his shallow mind?
Tell him to go for a swim, 'what are you so afraid of?' The ocean is salty enough to disguise sweet words anyway.
Tell him it's okay to dive into trenches and between ridges. Tell him he'll find beautiful things in the deep, like glowing jellyfish and nautilus.
Tell him that touching the sea bed is almost like touching your heart, and to bring you a fistful of sand from the bottom as a souvenir.
Tell him he needs to drown a little to know what it feels like to finally break the surface for air.
Tell him,
deep is a synonym for love, and drowning is how you fall in it.— S.M.
