Chapter 7 - Running

I run up the hill, through the trees. I hear the sticks breaking beneath my feet. I know how loud I'm being but I don't care. I just want to find jimmy and Joey. I need to find Jimmy and Joey. I keep running through the trees when I see someone. I run closer and I see its jenn. She starts to scream when she sees me. "Shhhh. Do you want to get us both killed?" I hiss. Jenn stops. "We're truced?" She asks. "Of course" I say back smiling. "Good because I just twisted my ankle." She says. I look down at her. She's sitting on the ground with her foot in a hole. I motion for her to get her foot out of the hole. She listens. I evaluate it. It looked pretty bad, but I couldn't tell her that. "You're fine" I say biting my lip. "Just walk it off." She smiles and stands up. She starts walking and her ankle gives out on her. She falls to the ground. "I'm so dead." She whispers. A tear rolls off her face. We hear footsteps. I gulp. Jenn turns to look at me. "Go" she's says. "You can't die because of me" "Im not going to leave you hear like this to die, jenn" I whisper. A small smile wipes across her face but quickly fades when we hear the footsteps getting closer. We wait. We wait to die as the footsteps get closer and closer. We hear the footsteps right behind us. We both give each other a look. 'Meghan, quick get out. You can still escape' jenn mouths to me. 'No' I mouth back. Jenn gives me an irritated look. The footsteps are right behind us.
