Chapter 13 - Jenn

"WAKE UP!" A familiar voice shouted at me. I sat up quick to see jimmy and joey very panicked and packing up our belongings.
"Where's jenn?" I asked.
"You didn't tell her?" jimmy shot a look at joey.
"I just couldn't! okay?" joey shouted at jimmy.
"Someone tell me what's going on!" I said.
"We gotta go quick" jimmy said.
"Why?"
"I'll explain later just pack your stuff up!" He shouted.
I started packing when I realized I had an unanswered question.
"So what happened to jenn?" I asked.
No one answered.
"Where's jenn?!" I asked again.
Again they both stayed silent, looking at each other.
"Someone better tell me" I said, my eyes filling up with tears. I had an idea where jenn might be, but I was hoping other wise.
"Uhm" jimmy mumbled. "Jenn didn't make it back"
"Back from where?!"
"she wanted to come help look for food and couldn't defend herself" jimmy said pulling his sleeve up. There was a giant gash across his arm.
Tears poured out of my eyes.
"Come on, let's get moving" jimmy said.
So we did.
