The Dare with Consequences

Cheese on a cracker! They're going to find out, I've been managing to hide this from everyone for years now.

Don't think about the show, Esme will be fine. In fact she was the one who watched it with me when I first saw it. No. Stop. Dad is here. They won't find out until I get a reply for our application.

"Renesmee, why did you think about Esme possibly having a problem with going on the show? Which show is it?" dad asked me.

I gulped.

"I'm not going to say, so don't even try and get me to think it! You'll wait until the letter of acceptance or refusal arrives, like everyone else. And if we're rejected I'll have done my dare and kept my secret." I smirked at that comforting thought.

I wouldn't let myself think of the consequences if we get accepted by the show.

I glared at Alice and hissed, "If you see their reply then you won't think or say a thing. I mean it."

Jasper pulled Alice closer, as he felt the truth of the threat in my emotions. Jake held me to his chest, stopping me from going closer to her.

"Let's finish this round and then we'll go to bed alright Nessie?" Jake soothed me.

I nodded.

"Gran, Truth or Dare?"

"Dare."

"I dare you to forgive me if we get accepted." I said while my eyes went blurry from unshed tears.

After the game finished, Jake and I went to our cottage near mum and dad's cottage.

It was our wedding present from gran and granddad, although ours was bigger so that Jake would still be comfortable.

Once he fell asleep, I went into the living-room and turned on my laptop, to fill out an online application form.
