Day three with the Delanys

I sigh up at my ceiling wishing I could just be with my husband.

I hate this.

Why can't I just sleep? At least I wouldn't miss my family so acutely throughout the night then...

I sigh once more before looking at the time on my phone.

Almost time to get up, might as well.

I go through the motions of getting ready for the day and make my way into the kitchen.

Having watched Rob operate the coffee machine yesterday when he made himself a second cup I set about making one for him as I could already hear him moving about upstairs.

Gathering some ingredients I decided to make the little ones something special for their lunches.

Chicken nuggets? But what will go with them? Not fries, they won't taste good later on anymore... maybe some potato wedges? No they don't taste nice cold either according to the Food Network... some broccoli and corn on the cob! I can also make some rice so they have something to give them energy as well... Next shopping trip I'll get some prawns so I can make them some prawn pasta for lunch next week, with lots of colourful vegetables.

I places some bagels on the table with some cold meats for everyone to serve themselves for breakfast and got cooking.

Just as I finished rinsing the rice Rob entered the kitchen.

'Morning Esme.' he grunted.

'Hi Rob.' I sighed trying to give him a cheerful smile.

Rob looked at me in alarm, 'What's wrong Esme?'

'I'm just homesick.' I  shrug. 'Your coffee should be done by now.' I say pointing at the machine.

Rob grabbed his mug and sat down to eat some breakfast, whilst I finished with the chicken nuggets and waited for the rice to finish.

Deciding to wake up the girls before the rice is finished as it will still take some time, I head up the stairs.

Opening their door I can't help but think of when I would go into Renesmee's room to watch her sleep and experience her dreaming when she was still little.

The venom gathers in my eyes and I have to suppress the feelings welling up in me.

I wake up the girls and finish packing everyone's lunches. Deciding to head to work early I say my goodbyes.

I'm going to have to make a plan tonight about how I will hunt next week, I don't want to be pushing it living in the same house as the Delanys...

Upon my arrival I still haven't managed to get out of my glum mood, I sigh and try to think positive.

Only several more days and I'll get to talk to my family again. I made some new friends already -Carla and Tom. I like Rob and the kids. I got to meet the Roylce brothers, and I get to work with them personally today.

With higher spirits than previously I step foot into the office and check Keira's work email.

There are three new emails in the inbox.

I open the top one first. It's from Carla - with all the documents for this afternoon's meeting with the Roylce brothers. I decide to open the other emails before I start to look through them.
