The cursor hovers threateningly above my head, causing me to shake in fear.
A thud on my head and I'm dragged by the hair to the Table again.
"Do your work or it'll appear again." Akika said. She fears the cursor the most.
"But I don't know how to do this!" I whined.
"Try! You'll get it somehow. Here, mix this and this together." Ahote tossed a bunch of strange leaves to me. "Mesh them up and- Not like that!"
A puff of foul-smelling smoke erupted from the bowl.
"You're not supposed to add water!" Akika groaned. The cursor hovered above my head once more, as if guessing I would run away again.
"Balo!" Akika whimpered, keeping her head down at her work.
"I know..." I said, returning to the table. The cursor flew away, only to pick up Cita, the one-year-old. "Cita!"
"Mummy!" Cita cried as Akika dropped the bowl she was holding.
"I'm... I'm going to eat." Akika said, leaving to chase the Cursor.
It's only bad luck that the cursor chose to stay in our village.
