I was exhausted when I walked through my front door, I loved my job but it was emotionally draining.

I honestly hurt for every single one of my patients, I hurt for the rape victims, I hurt for the mothers who lost there children, I hurt for my patients with real mental illness.

Today I had to admit Doris back in the psychiatric ward after noticing blood run down her legs, she was cutting herself in the car with a shard of glass, which was still in her purse!

She was slipping on her meds, and days like this I felt completely drained.

I wasn't in the mood for getting dressed up and going to eat fancy overpriced food, I just wanted to curl up in bed with a book and some yummy msg filled Chinese food.

I think Alec would understand?

That's when I actually noticed something, my house was filled with laughter?
And music?

I walked into our common room to be greeted by Heather and Troy dancing, Shelly was doing shots at our bar.
I was taken back, and pretty much full of anger, I rushed over to Heather.

"Where's Alec?"

"He's in the kitchen, it's so good to see you I missed you!"

My friend stopped dancing to engulf me in a huge hug, I returned her affection and explained I needed to speak with my husband!

I found him just where Heather said I would, Alec was helping the two women take food into the dining room.

When he noticed me, he immediately pulled me into his arms.

"Hey I'm glad your home!"
He kissed me lightly on the lips, eyes joyful.

"Baby why didn't you tell me about this, I'm exhausted I had a long day!"
I whispered through gritted teeth.

"It's only our friends babe?"
He kissed my temple and went back to helping the women.

The fuck!

"Legs!"

Shit, fuck shit fucking shit!

I turned around to see Shelly stumbling toward me.

"Legs I gotz to walk with you?"
Shelly slurred  clearly drunk than began to giggle.
"Talk.... We got to talk....!"
She corrected herself.

My heart started to race.
What if she knows..... No of course not!
Just act normal and humor her.

"Yeah?"
I ask while grabbing for a wine glass.

The kitchen was a nightmare, aluminum pans were scattered all over the countertops, a petite older women with short fire engine red hair just came in, she was dressed like a chef she started plating food and handing it to what I guessed to be her daughter, because they looked so much alike including the same hair color.

"It's Dominic?"

My heart dropped, I shook off the nervousness out of my voice.

"What's wrong?"

"Well, he's been acting different, we don't have sex?"

I almost choked on the wine I just poured myself, I kept my mouth shut and nodded.

"I mean we didn't have this problem in Vegas!"

"What problem in Vegas?"
Heather asked when she walked in.
