SORRY FOR THE SUPER LONG WAIT!! I was facing writer's block and then when I got an idea, my teachers decided that it was the ideal time to start handing out a shitload of homework and I've literally had no free weekends because of dance and now I'm rambling...
Anyway, without further ado, I present to you, chapter 11

Chapter 11- Choking on Ice Cream
My mouth was ajar and my eyes were wide.
"Surprise!" he said, doing an awkward jazz hands.
Soon, the shocked feeling passed and excitement spread throughout my body.
"Aah!" I yelled, flinging myself into his arms.
His stomach vibrated as he laughed and he wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. I let go of him and punched him on the shoulder.
"Ouch," he whined, chuckling.
"You asshole, why didn't you call!" I exclaimed, closing the door and locking it.
"We didn't really have very much access to cell phones in Afghanistan," Zach joked, smiling crookedly.
I engulfed him in another bear hug, burying my head into his chest.
"I missed you," I whispered.
"I missed you, too, Sammy," Zach replied in a muffled voice, his head on my shoulder.
We just stood there for a while, hugging each other. It was perfect.

"So, how's school going?" Zach asked, taking a gigantic bite out of his chocolate ice cream cone.
The melted ice cream dribbled down his chin and onto the table. I laughed and handed him a napkin. He mumbled a 'thank you' and proceeded to wipe his mouth.
"It's...going," I replied, casting my eyes onto the cafe table.
"What's wrong?" he said, his voice thick with concern.
I looked up to meet his eyes, and his eyebrows were scrunched together in worry.
"N-nothing," I responded, "just forget about it."
"Is it a boy? Because I will give him hell if he's messing with you," he growled, going into protective-older brother mode.
I choked on the cold sweet in my mouth and started coughing hysterically. I drank some water and gasped for air. My eyes were double their size.
"W-what? N-no, why would you think that?" I stuttered, failing to play it off cooly.
"You're blushing, stuttering, and choking on ice cream. I mean, is it even possible to choke on ice cream?" Zach retorted, sass dripping from his voice.
"Okay, fine! It's a guy! Are you happy now?" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air for dramatic measures.
I crossed my arms over my chest and sighed.
"Who is it?" Zach mumbled, staring down at his soggy cone.
"You don't know him," I muttered, staring off into the distance.
This was by far the most awkward things that I had ever experienced. Discussing my love life with my older brother isn't really on the list of my favorite things to do on a Sunday evening.
"I'm only two years older than you. I might have known him when I was a senior and he was a sophomore," Zach said, shrugging his shoulders.
"His name is Alex," I blurted out, "Alex Storm."
