..Zoe?
I hugged her tightly. I hadn't seen my sister Zoe in a while.
I unlocked the door and let us in, taking in the flowers and the note.
"What's wrong?" Zoe asked.
I explained everything to Zoe over some coffee, every now and then there would be an "aww Joe" from Zoe and the sound of my tears dripping into my mug.
Zoe was very understanding about everything.
"I'm so glad you're here Zoe." I said crying into her shoulder.
It was getting quite late so Zoe left to go to her hotel where she was staying with her boyfriend Alfie.
I went downstairs to go to bed, even though I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be getting any sleep for a while.
5 days later:
Y/n was now allowed visitors.
I rolled out of bed and got into the shower. After a quick rinse I got dressed and gelled my hair to the side.
I sprayed on some aftershave and headed to the hospital.
Y/n POV:
I was awoken to a whiff of aftershave.
I opened my eyes to see a bunch of yellow daffodils, my favourite.
Covered by the daffodils, Joe peaked his face round and smiled at me.
"Joe!" I smiled, a tear running down my cheek.
He put the daffodils on the side and leaned in for a kiss. The first kiss in 2 weeks.
Joe stayed with me for a while, he sat with me, my head on his chest.
Every so often he kissed my forehead and told me how much he'd missed me and how much he loves me.
I could definitely get used to this.
Joe had been here for a couple of hours now, but I convinced the doctors to let him stay the night. Joe made me feel safe.
I fell asleep, my head leant on joes shoulder.
I could hear him whisper "goodnight, I love you" and I felt him kiss me again.
I couldn't help smiling to myself. I'm so lucky.
