Chapter Four: Incident

When Natsu woke up, his vision hadn't readjusted yet. His eyes were half closed and he felt groggy, very sleepy, like he had just woken up out of a dream.

He heard the roar overhead and his eyes darted up immediately.

A huge, red dragon shooting fire out of its mouth and burning everything in its path passed by in the air heading south.

"Igneel!! Dad, I'm here!!"

Natsu leapt into the air grabbing on to Igneel's talon.

"Natsu, my son; I'll tell you everything about my disappearance, just get me the book of E.N.D." Igneel's deep voice rang out.

As Natsu ran towards the smell, Mard Geer was occupied facing his current nemesis in battle.

"Natsu-san!"

Sting and Rogue called out to the fire dragon slayer.

"Hey! Sting, Rogue, you guys are from Saber! I need to get the book of E.N.D., which he's holding."

"Of course. Let's do this." Rogue put it simply.

(Time skip to Gray's arrival)

"Ice Make: Lance!"

When Gray arrived on the scene, Mard Geer looked a little worrisome.

"Who knew Silver would fall to this brat?" Mard Geer seemed to size up Gray, however Gray didn't seemed fazed by it one bit.

"Alright tough guy, let's see what you're made of." Gray mocked the Underworld King.

(Again: sorry time skip)

"So you do have some fight in you." Mard Geer smiled. "You know this move was made to finish of Lord Zeref, our creator. But don't worry, there won't be a trace of you left."

"Natsu! Sting, Rogue! Get out of here!" Gray yelled.

"No Gray!!" Natsu screamed.

"Momento Morii!"

And within a flash, dark spirits arose and pillared into the sky circling around Gray, and blocking out the sun.

When it dispersed, Gray was gone.

There was a long pause. And Natsu couldn't believe that one of the ones he held most dear, was being whisked away just like that. His whole existence gone in an instant.

'If Gray was gone, his existence gone; how could I remember him? All the memories are still here, so it can't be. '

Natsu sunk into a deep despair.
