Chapter 18

The Man saw he message on the ground, visible via drone camera. But the message truly scared him. near the message lay a pile of 200 of his best private soldiers. Weir was among these bodies, and he deserved to be. He had given strict orders not to kill anyone.

Looks like strike three bit him in the ass.

The Man could only be impressed by Max's capabilities. Yet he was fearful, when he shouldn't be. He was afraid of the power behind the three words that Max carved into the ground.

You will PAY!

The chill in his spine only grew worse. This was going to be on the news, he was certain of it.

Max held no regret for what he had done. Max took one of the soldiers that had survived the massacre, he had been knocked out by Nina before it happened. Max had Nina's dagger strapped to his legs and his katanas on his back. He wore her falcon pendent on her Neck. But the scariest thing about Max, was his eyes. Instead of changing to a white and Purple set, the eyes had turned that of the Tiffany stone. A violent swirl of white and purple, that no man can stare down.

Max made a mental note of getting a full head mask, one hat he had used in his martial arts studio. He would also have to tell the orphanage about Nina.He decided he would leave a note for her roommate. So when he started driving the stolen car east, immediately Ahvie had started asking questions. "Wait, where are we going? You don't just get to take us where ever you want! Spill!"

"The Orphanage" Max replied simply. And with that, he turned to face the road again, his eyes like the devil's. Ahvie feared that's what he was becoming. The Devil. Ahvie looked to the back of the van they had stolen to see Nina there, with the broken dagger strapped on her leg. Next to her was the unconscious man they had brought with them. Max looked back at the man and then over to Liam.

"Liam, wake him up will you? He has a lot of answering to do." And knowing what Max was capable of, he obliged, and slapped the guy across his face. The soldier woke up and looked around. He was afraid, and didn't know where he was. But Liam stood above him, and started asking him questions. Like "Where are the others?", "Who are you working for?", etc...

But the soldier answered none of them, and instead gave him the silent treatment. Then Max got angry. He looked at Nina and put it on cruise control, so he took his foot off the petal. "Take the wheel, Ahvie. I'll handle the captain." With that, Max stood up, forcing Ahvie to jump at the wheel, but the van swerved nonetheless. When the van grew steady again, Liam sat down and let Max take over.

"What is your name soldier?" Max said simply. When he didn't answer, Max striked him across the face. The force sent the soldier on his side. But Max didn't stop there. He grabbed the soldier and dragged him to the back of the van. Opening the rear doors, Max shoved the soldier into the floor and pulled his head outside the van. His head was inches from the road. "What is your name soldier!"

"Weir! My name is Weir."

Chapter 19

Weir was sitting on his spot in the van, answering all of Max's questions. Starting with: "Where are the others?"

"Two are in New York, you don't know them. One is in Georgia, the last in Texas"

"Who are you working for, Weir?"
