Chapter Ten: Beloved

And just like that, the room was in a complete state of shock and confusion.

The two preoccupying the room stared at each other in silence.

The words would make any normal person overjoyed. Zero was definitely not a normal person and he was not too overjoyed.

Me, pregnant that's preposterous. It's impossible. Males can't get pregnant.

Noting the confused look that was sprouting across the young silverette's face, Takuma quietly started to explain. He wanted this to be over with but in a slow and calmly manner.

"I know what your thinking Zero. Yes, it might be impossible for human males to get pregnant but vampires are different. We can produce an offspring even if we are males. It is more common for purebloods to produce an offspring in a male than any other statuses. The pregnancy is very similar to the female ones."

Looking over at Zero, Takuma saw his lover's face darkening.

So that means this child is----

"Is Kaname's child..."

The answer quickly sunk into the young vampire's head. He dropped his blank gaze to the floor.

Kaname's child...Why do these things always happen to me? Why...why me? What have I done wrong?

"Zero if you don't want to keep the baby, you don't have to. It is okay if you don't want it. It's your choice."

Again the unbearable silence had returned and corrupted the area, but now with bits of tension and concern in it.

Thinking Zero was going to agree to get rid of the baby; Takuma headed towards the door to speak with the doctor.

Before he could take two steps, he was suddenly stopped by a hand that was firmly fisted in his coat. Takuma turned around and was surprised at what he saw. There sat a smiling Zero holding the expensive notebook that he brought.

"I want to keep the baby."

"As you wish."
