The next morning I'm still in the library's armchair and haven't moved a muscle since I came in here last night. I stand up and nealr collapse from my dead legs. My decision made, I take a deep breath and tie up my hair before picking up my bag and going into the kitchen grabbing a few bottles of water and some food, shoving them into my bag. I look at my wrist seeing the brusises that have formed from Luke grabbing it after I slapped him. I look around for some paper and a pen to write a note for Luke and Mia. I eventually find them in the last cupboard and sit at the island starting to write the letter for Luke first.
Luke,
As your reading this I'm as far away as I can possibly be. I can't stay here knowing that I can't be a proper mate to you and give you a heir to the Alpha duties. I'm sorry it has to be this way but you hurt me bad saying those things and you have left bruises on me from when you grabbed me and shoved me to the ground. The moon Goddess made a mistake of making us mates and I hope you will find a second chance mate once I get rid of your mark.
It has to be this way so don't come looking for me, you won't find me even if you do. Take care of the pack and train the well, even though when I leave there will be no war, your pack will be saved from death and injuries.
Thank you for showing me a new way of living. I will always be greatful to you and your pack for taking me in and treating me as there own but I have unwelcomed my stay. I didn't expect to stay as long as I did or even mate with you.

I let out a quiet sob, tears sliding down my cheeks as my wolf roars at me to rip up the letter and go back upstairs to Luke. I block her out and put the letter into an envelope and write his name on it after sealing the enevelope. I pick up the pen again and grab a clean sheet off paper and begin writing

I have left as you obviously know because your reading this. I'm sorry I can't say goodbye in person because I'm certain you would convince me too stay. I can't stay after Luke and I's row. He's right I can't give him children so what's the point? We were fooling ourselves into thinking it would work. Thank you for befriending me and making me open up, thanks for helping me with everything and being there when I needed you the most.
There is an advantage to me leaving which is no war so you and everyone else is safe from my father's clutches. I could write pages and pages to you but I'm in a hurry, Take care of Chase and never let him go he loves you so so so much and when I'm away and safe I'll write.

I quickly fold up the letter and put it in the other envelope and stick them on the fridge with a magnet. I take one last look around and slowly creep to the front door unlocking it and sprinting into the forest my bag bouncing with every footstep I take away from the man I love. I quickly run towards the border dodgng trees and patrol wolves. An earth shattering howl slices through the air making my wolf howl in sync making me cover my ears wincing in pain from the volume of Luke's howl. His voice fills my head as he mindlinks me " Baby please don't leave me please I love you and I'm so so so sorry for saying those thing " he sobs. I close my eyes momentarily to block him out. I reopen my eyes just to see a blonde wolf lunge and push me down onn the ground and lying on top of me soI can't get up. " Darren get off me " I command with all the authority I have in my body. He whines and closes his eyes trying to force himself not to obey my command. He slowly bows his head and gets off me. I stand up and dust myself off quickly, he whines again and licks my cheek. " Darren don't make this any harder " I say voice cracking. He shifts and I turn away, to make a break for it. The border is right there a couple of footsteps and I'll be out. " Eva don't do this " he begs.
I freeze midstep " I have to Darren, Luke said things that hurt and he bruised me. I can't stay " I whisper. He looks at me sadly " he was spiked with wolfsbane it doesn't just make you aroused but it makes you angry when you don't get a release " he explains trying to make me see sense. I shake my head " No I can't " I say fiercely. " The whole pack will be devastated if you leave. Luke loves you so much, he has been so happy since he found you. I've never seen him happy like the way he is when he is with you. He will be heartbroken even if you do find a way to get rid of the mark " Darren says quietly. " Don't you think I will? " I ask trying to hold back my sobs that are close to the surface. I hear paws thundering through the forest towards us and I start backing away but I'm too late as I sense Luke close. I let out sob, hearing the cracking of bones which indicates they're shifting b ack to human form. Mia, Chase and lastly Luke walks out from behind the trees. I stare at them silently when Mia suddenly lauches herself at me, pulling me into a bone crushing hug. Both of us hold each other tightly sobbing, we pull away and my head whips to the side and a burning sensation erupts across my right cheek from the slap Mia just gave me.
I cradle my cheek and stare at Mia wide eyed " What was that for?" I ask shocked to the core. " FOR THIS!" she shouts flailing her arms around like a lunatic. I can't help it and burst into a fit of laughter holding my sides. Her sour look sobers me up quickly and I stare at the ground " well I best be going " I whisper taking a step backwards. Luke who hasn't spoken a word steps towards me " Baby please, don't leave me. You have no idea how sorry I am and will do anything to make you stay. I love you and I can't lose you " he whispers. I clench my fists to try and control my wolf who is hammering against my boundaries and screaming at me to walk closer to Luke. I bite my lip hard, staring at my shoes awkwardly " Luke you hurt me so bad, even though it hurt you were right. What's the point if I can't give you children " I whisper. He glares at me " I don't care if you can't have children. Okay baby? I love you and I can't let you go, I was an idiot to go out drinking because I was stressed but I'm an ALpha and I hate admitting to any weakness " he says harshly.
I look at him and sigh, tears filling my eyes again. He closes the distance between us and pulls me to his chest, holding me tightly. I sob into his chest, shaking and I realise Luke is shaking too and I fell something wet hit my shoulder and finally realise Luke is also crying. My heart breaks seeing him this way and I wrap my arms around him tightly. " Please don't leave me " he begs. I pull away and tilt his chin up so he is looking at me, I raise my hand and brush away his tears with the pad of my thumb. " I won't " I whisper voice raspy from all the crying I've done the past twelve hours. He lightly kisses my lips tentavtively, testing to see if I will pull bacl but I kiss him back. He starts to deepen the kiss and I pull back and snap my fist back puncing him successfully in the jaw, making him stumble backwards from the force of my hit. " That's for getting drunk and saying all those things " I say stepping towards hik and lightly rub his jaw where I punched him. He chuckles " I deserved that" he says, I giggle and nod, leaning up and kissing him. He quickly deepens the kiss to which I respond wrapping my arms around his neck. He lifts me up and quickly carries me back to the pack house and you can guess what happens next ;).
