"Good morning, sleepy head~" you hear a voice playfully whisper in your ear the next morning. It sends a shiver down your spine, causing you to stir awake. You blink once, twice, thrice until your eyes finally stay open, though they still feel heavy with sleep. Dave's over top of you, straddling your hips and smiling down at you with that gorgeous tired expression you love so dearly, "Finally, he awakes from his slumber due to the kiss of life."
You yawn, stretching as much as you can physically be allowed, "You didn't kiss me, though."
A mischievous grin spreads across his face, "Not yet, Sleeping Kitty~" he purrs in a husky voice, still laced with drowsiness. He leans down and practically smothers you with kisses, whispering sweet things to you as he does so.
"Knock it off," you giggle, making a feeble attempt to push him away.
He plants one last kiss right on your lips and sighs softly, "Alright. I'll go ask Dick and Jake if they want to go to the movies with us while you go brush your teeth. You have dragon breath hardcore." He teases and quickly absconds before you can swat at him.
"I dont have dragon breath you prick! And don't you mean Dirk?!"
"That's what I said!" He calls back.
"No you said-" you sigh, deciding its not worth it as you climb out of his bed and make your way to the bathroom. You hadn't brought anything with you, so you use Dave's mouthwash until you can properly brush your teeth. You also realize you hadn't brought any clothes with you besides your homecoming outfit. Dave's clothes will have to do, you suppose as you make your way to the kitchen where everyone was waiting. Well, waiting might be a bit too strong. They'd started without you for sure, but at least they'd stopped to look up at you before resuming their meal.
Dirk cooked. You know he did. You were told once that he's the cook of the house, and from the smell of those waffles, you're assuming that's true. You take a seat between Bro and Dave as Dirk makes a plate for you and pushes it your way, "Bon appetite, cutie. With love from yours truly." Dave forces back a growl at that and you dig in.
Breakfast is quiet until Bro speaks up about ten minutes in, "So am I allowed to ask who's dating who here and if you all practiced safe sex?"
"No!" Dirk and Dave snap simultaneously, both boys red in the face. Jake flushes, too, but keeps his mouth shut. You can see a small smile playing at his lips.
Bro turns to you, "How about my favorite little kitten, huh? You and the little man didn't do the do did you?"
"Bro!"
You smirk and shrug, leaning forward with your arms folded on the table, "And if we did?"
He mirrors you exactly, "I'd know you were lying because I know how loud Dave gets when he ma-"
"-Maybe you should shut up now, Bro! Thanks!" Dave cuts him off, face red.
You snigger and finish off your food, "No, we didn't yet."
Bro nods in approval and collects the plates, "Good boy. This is why you're my favorite. You guys go do your thing. I'll be here."
Dave drags you away in seconds flat so you can change into a pair of his shorts and a tee, both of which are too big for you, before the four of you head out to the movies. The twins pay for everything and lead you into the theatre. You all sit in the very back, Dave and Dirk at your sides. In honor of Halloween rolling around once again, the theatre had been playing some old classic horror films, so Dave scrapped the idea of the new one to be used at a later time. Instead, you were watching "The Poltergeist". According to Dave, this movie is "scary as fuck, so it's okay if you need me to hold you. The armrests go up." Then he winked at you, wiggling his eyebrows. Now the movie is starting and Dave is doubled over in pain from the elbow to the stomach you just gave him.
Dave was right; the movie was horrifying and you'd have night terrors for weeks, but he was true to his word and held you close the whole time. You also noticed Dirk and Jake cuddling as the movie progressed, so you suppose that answers that question. All in all, the four of you had fun. You got to know Jake a little better and came to the conclusion that he was the perfect match for Dirk.
The two of them went off to return Jake home and, despite your pleas for him not to, Dave decided to walk you home anyways. You're almost to your house when you hear your father and your brother arguing at the front door. Your father is inside, trying to convince Kankri to come back inside while he counters that he's not a child and can do what he wants. You're not entirely sure what is actually going on, but it definitely doesn't sound good. You have no idea what's going on until you get to the door.
Kankri is dressed in a leather jacket and ripped light wash jeans with his hair slicked back, shooting daggers at your father with his eyes, "Im an adult now. I love him and nothing you say will stop me from seeing him."
"But look how he's changed you!" Your father counters.
"He hasn't changed me! I wanted to change myself!"
"He's not a child of god. He smokes and drink and probably skips class if he even graduated high school at all!"
Your brother groans in frustration, "Too bad! You can't keep me on such a short leash for all my life! I want to live for once and he's teaching me how! You should be happy, but you're so caught up in your religion that you can't! Guess what! Your religion is a sham, dad! I can't believe I followed it for so long and I can't believe I followed you! I can't stand it here anymore! I need to leave." And without a second glance to you, he turns on his heel, pushes past you, gets in his car, and leaves you dumbfounded without so much as a goodbye.
