"Honey."
"Yes Mom?"
"You won't do anything stupid when you're older, right?"
"Hm? What do you---"
"You know, won't get pregnant at a young age, won't do drugs, you know--stuff like that."

"Wait, what's pregnant? What's drugs----"
"Because if you do I'll beat your small ass to Paris with your grandma. Cause no child of mine will do something idiotic to ruin our family name, am I f*cken clear?"

"M-mom?!?"

I suddenly wake up, laying on my couch in the basement. The basement was like my own little room. No one would bother me as much, and I actually don't want to face the world right now. Especially Jace or my mom.

Jace does not text me back which I am so glad about. Hopefully he doesn't ever face me because that is just too embarrassing. Clara just recently got a phone call from my mom saying she's heading home immediately and hoping the house is spotless by the time she's there.

Moms.

They're wonderful people. They care for you, love you, cherish you. Moms are always there for you no matter what the situation is. But if they hear something that they disapprove of, it's like satan is walking on earth.

My mom may look sweet and all, but she's very strict. She made sure I was well mannered, and by well mannered I mean she would curse just so could understand it. But at the end, I understood everything she meant and I guess I turned out alright.

But now I know I'm still gonna get my ass beat just for a silly little joke someone did to my mom.

Kanna has been texting me non-stop about a boy she met. Saying that he's really hot, sweet, nice. I honestly didn't care, but this made her happy so I just went along and just started asking questions or being all excited for her.
But when she continued on saying more facts about him, and said "he's 22!"

I quickly scrambled out of my bed and actually stepped outside my house and ran out. A middle schooler with an adult, that really scares me. I mean, she's a 14 year old girl, and they can do rebellious things at that age. But this, this was just not......right to me.

I ran and ran, hoping I could make it to her house before she does anything stupid. My phone starts to vibrate, and I see that it's Kanna texted me again with a picture.
"He's a cutie, right? :)"

The guy was smiling, and he actually did look cute with his hair combed to the side. But I'm afraid something will happen if Kanna is left alone with him.

The sun was almost setting, with clouds swarming around it. My legs stopped moving for awhile because I was running so much. I was only a block away from there house, ready to stop what's gonna happen. My legs start to move quickly again, but as I started to run a familiar car drove past me real quick.

And it was Jace.

Who looked right at me when he drove past. The car screeched with a stop. And that's when I started to run for my life towards Kanna's house.

I looked over my shoulder and saw that Jace started to drive right towards me. My heart was racing because I haven't seen Jace in days, and I'm panicking because who knows what the hell Jace would do if we were alone.

I made a quick turn to the right and ran across the street to hide behind a house. Once I hid myself behind the house, I started to breathe really hard. Sweat actually came rolling down my forehead. Thank god I was in the school's track. Or I would be caught by Jace.
