"Attitude much? Well, anyways, can I ask you a question?"

"Spit it out already."

"Geez, okay.........do you like Jace?"

"WHAT. N-no!!! Why would you think that?....."

"Hm, just asking.........For future references."

Calvin.

Everyone loves Calvin. He's athletic, he's smart, he's popular, and-----well, he isn't ugly I guess. Not to mention that he's here, staying for the week.

My mom never makes breakfast but she made everyday since Calvin has been here. Clara just adores Calvin. She enjoys how "perfect" he is and always tries to get on his good side, only because he's loaded with money.
If you're really smart, don't leave it for waste. Use it wisely like my brother, who's making good money by working in a tech company.

Calvin acts really smart to me, which is annoying at times. But the only time when he acts like a complete idiot, is when he's around Jace---his best friend.
And so far, Jace has been hanging out at our house ever since my brother has been home and you don't know how awkward it's been around him.

"Jaaaace! Jace!! I love you man! I LOVE YOU!"

"Nah bro, I LOVE YOU!!"

They both jump in each other's arms and hug each other tightly. They have been doing this for the past three days every time they see each other.
"Jesus Christ-----can you guys stop doing that? You see each other everyday."

They both let go as Jace walks towards me with a smirk. I start to tense up and shift uncomfortably as he sits right next to me with his arm around my shoulder.
"We do this everyday because we love each other. Think of it like this------when I hang out with you, it's because I love you, Charlotte."

My cheeks warm up as Calvin starts to make "ohhohh oh!!"ing sounds in the background.
"That was hella cheesy man." Says Calvin while slumping on the couch.

Because he loves me-----
I don't know if I should take that seriously or not because Jace is just so confusing at times. Not to mention the fact that Calvin always encourages me to be with Jace, so much.

I remember Calvin setting up a date with Jace and I when they were in high school.
It was so embarrassing.

But now that I'm older, I'm thinking Calvin doesn't have to go that extreme into making me go out with Jace. Especially since he saw me.......kiss, Kai.

Honestly, since then, Kai and I have been hanging out more than usual. It's nice to have some company around sometimes because I'm always by myself. But he's actually been lifting up my spirits of not being super lazy.

"Charlotte......Charlotte!"

I look up in confusion at Jace who was face to face with me. "You spacing out, or what?"

I put my hand against Jace's face and push him away from me. "I'm paying attention, idiot."

Jace smiles while my hand still at his face. And being the type of person he is, he decides to lick my hand. I jerk away quickly and wipe my hand on the couch.

"JACE! That was gross!"

"Only for you, Charlie." He said with a wink.

Calvin high fives Jace while smacking his back.
"You're like---MY IDOL JACE."

"No bro, you're MY IDOL."

Can they be any more of an idiot?
I roll my eyes at them as they both continue to joke around. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I reach for it.
Once I see who the message was, my heart skipped a beat.

I quickly unlock my phone and saw what Kai texted me.

-so my sister decided to take a nap........

He took a picture of Kana sleeping on the couch while a marker that is held right in front of her face.
My phone vibrates again.

-she might hurt me after this.

Kai sent another photo, but this time of Kana with a unibrow and a mustache while Kai is smiling right next to her.

I snorted at that while I quickly responded back to him.

-well I mean, I would. She'll probably text me about this so I'm prepared for what's coming.

-will you be there for me when I get hurt then?

-only if you have Chinese food.

-how can I ever forget that.

I smile to myself and lock my phone. Jace notices me smiling, which was a stupid mistake I shouldn't have done. And now he approaches me.
"Smiling to yourself? That's my job, Charlotte."

I frown at Jace who had his arms crossed right across his chest. Calvin, on the other hand, was devilishly smirking at us. He sighs loudly so we can have his attention.

"Yeah Charlotte, that is Jace's job. But then again, it could've been that pretty boy I saw you kissing yesterday....."

Oh hell no.

Everything happened so slowly. Jace was approaching me with a serious face on. Calvin was laughing his ass off, and I was jumping from couch to couch just to strangle Calvin for his big ass mouth.

I finally jumped on Calvin and tried to punch him, but Jace grabbed me from my waist and pulled me up while I still tried to hurt Calvin.
Luckily, Clara walked in on time to stop all of this.

"What the hell is going on here???" She nearly screamed.

"Calvin said something he shouldn't have!!"

"CHARLOTTE KISSED KAI."

"I just love making situations worse!"

Clara couldn't even give any of us the evil eye because of how stupid this was. The only thing she did was put her hands on her hips and scoff.
"Well it's about damn time you guys kissed."

Jace's jaw dropped open while my face was turning red. Calvin snorts at all of us.

"Okay okay, end all of this, this is just getting ridiculous." Said Clara.

"What? Hell no! I want to be with Charlotte. I kissed her first!!"

Calvin whips his head at Jace while raising his eyebrows. "You.......you kissed my sister?..."
Jace nods in response.
And I already knew what Calvin response was gonna be.
"Bro, WHY ARENT YOU GUYS DATING YET??"

I place my hands to my face in embarrassment, because Calvin was not being the supportive brother right now.
Clara on the other hand, pulls me up and holds me against her.

"What the hell? No. Team Kai. Kai is the sweetest little boy I've ever met. Jace is just complete sh!t"

Calvin pulls Jace towards him, "Team Jace. It's always been team Jace."

All three of them started to argue loudly while I received another text and saw it was from Kai.
I unlocked it and saw what he said.

-wanna go out on another date this week?

Jesus Christ.
